Radcliffe Camera/Bodleian Library: One of Oxford’s most iconic sights. The main research library of the University, with over 12 million items and is one of the oldest libraries in Europe! Great views of the exterior can be obtained from St. Mary's Church.

Punting: Popular leisure activity involving hiring a boat and a pole then heading up/down the rivers of Cherwell & Isis.

Oxford Botanic Garden: Founded in 1621 as a physic garden growing plants for medicinal research, it is the oldest botanic garden in Great Britain and one of the oldest scientific gardens in the word.

The river Thames is nearby and perfect for a scenic walk. Port Meadow is under a 15 minute walk and is an ancient common land, perfect for a walk or picnic amongst the buttercups, horses and cows.

These include: Victors (good for cocktails), Sticks N Sushi, The Alchemist and The Breakfast Club. Other city centre recommendations include Glut - American (their sinful fries are amazing!), No 1 Ship Street - Fine dining. Pierre Victoire - French Bistro.

Jericho is also under a 10 minute walk away with a fantastic selection of restaurants; The Standard - Indian. Mamma Mia - Italian. Brasserie Blanc - French. Branca - Italian.

Great location for a visit to Oxford
This apartment is in a good location to walk into the city of Oxford and to the New Theatre (approx 10 minutes), and having a dedicated parking space so close to the city centre is a real bonus. Communication with the owner / property management team was very clear and we had no issues with our self check-in. It was a lovely warm apartment - much appreciated after a long day walking around Oxford in the cold wintry weather we experienced for our visit! - and it had everything we could need for our stay - and having small toiletries provided was a nice touch. A small point to mention - which in no way affected our enjoyment of our stay: the curtains could do with some new curtain hooks as a few were missing, so the curtains didn't close as smoothly / completely as we would expect. I would happily stay here again if I needed a place to stay in Oxford as it's a good size for 2-3 people and in a great location so leave the car and explore on foot ... also great for anyone travelling to Oxford by train who needs a base within a few minutes' walk of the station
