Luxury Apartment - Jardin Du Luxembourg - Quartier Latin

This luxury apartment is on the second US floor ( one floor up from the street) accessible with an elevator. It has been decorated with taste and attention to details.

The property has 4 separated rooms plus kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed. There is an elegant living room with a large flat screen TV and a comfortable sofa. Next to it, the fourth room is a dining room with a table big enough for 10 guests. The modern kitchen is fully equipped. It has a large stove. The bathroom is modern and very pleasant to use..

You can go to from one bedroom to any room without disturbing the persons in the other bedroom.

According to Parisians, its location is the most pleasant district of Paris, the 5th arrondissement. What do you think about having a view on the Val de Grace church, and cruising in rue Mouffetard and Rue Monge, known for their typical markets and Parisian atmosphere, and next to Luxembourg garden.

It felt like a real neighborhood, away from most of the tourist spots, but within close proximity to everything. We found some wonderful restaurants along Rue Saint Jacques, Blvd. Montparnasse, Rue Vavin, and around the Luxembourg Gardens.

The Val de grace, which is few yards away, is a Military Hospital built in the XVII° century and offers the second nicest church and 'Dôme' of Paris after the Invalides. It is in a very nice area, with the Luxembourg Garden, Pantheon and Sorbonne all less than 5 minutes away.

A seven-minute walk south then right on the boulevard du Montparnasse and then past the Vavin Metro stop takes you to a bustling area of up-scale cafés and creperies. Several of the cafés are historically famous, and were frequented by Hemingway, Chagall, Matisse, and Picasso. The café Closerie des Lilas, at the corner of boulevard du Montparnasse and boulevard St-Michel, is where Hemingway penned 'The Sun Also Rises' in a mere two weeks. This area really comes alive late at night.

The fresh food market on Blvd. Port Royal is friendly and full of seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as game and all kinds of cheese. There is also a wonderful boucherie just off Rue St. Jacques and Blvd. Port Royal as well as Rue Val de Grace.

Séjour confortable à location pratique
On a passé un agréable séjour. Un appartement ample, muni de tout ce qui est nécessaire du quotidien avec deux grand lit, un canapé-lit et un extra-lit. La salle à manger donne sur une vue sympathique de l'un des carrefours à Rue Val-de-grâce. La location près du jardin du Luxembourg, idéale pour se balader dans le quartier Latin. On peut trouver tout près un arrêt de bus (Val de grâce) et la gare de RER ( Port Royal) alors qu'il n'y pas d'accès vide à métro. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques. Un appartement tout à fait confortable, à conseiller.

Beautiful
This apartment is awesome. It has character and charm and is well equipped. The real gem is Josette the owner and host. I have stayed at nice properties with VRBO but have not had someone like Josette. She arranged all of our taxis for several trips. That alone was appreciated and above and beyond. Not being use to keys/doors, Josette come back and gave me another lesson! While she was out of town she arranged for another contact in case I needed someone. Of course like other reviews you have read, the apartment came with water, juice, wine, beer and an amazing cake. Josette is lovely inside and out.

The apartment was comfortable and well appointed. Our host greeted us and even had fresh pastries waiting! The building felt safe and the metro was only a few blocks away. Having a washing machine and drying rack was such a lovely bonus. Would recommend this apartment wholeheartedly!

Great property in a perfect location with true Parisian vibe.
It’s an amazing apartment with great location. Our host, Josette, was lovely, she greeted us on our arrival and even stacked refrigerator with drinks and had the best brioche waiting for us. The property has true Parisian vibe, closely located to amazing Luxembourg gardens and has many convenience stores, bakeries and restaurants in a walking distance. Only one thing to keep in mind, when you rent anything in a historical center of the city, there will be no air conditioning. Host provided electrical fans, but with the high heat it might be a bit uncomfortable.

Josette is a sweetheart.
Before the stay I discovered our only flight was cancelled. Came three days later than expected. Josette returned the rent for the three days we would miss. The place is less old English and more modern French. Lots of color and breakable things. Separate bedrooms, dining room and living room. All immaculate and situated in the middle of town. A block from the railroad, metro, a grocery and Luxembourg Gardens. Less than a block to a interesting pizza place, a great wine shop, and 3 bakeries. Miniscule elevator but just one flight up. 3 locks on the door but we never felt at risk anywhere nearby. Neighborhood is full of upscale French, their kids (often on the way to school) and some tourists. Also a GREAT folder about the area and how to use everything. Overall a wonderful experience. We plan on coming back every time we need two bedrooms!

Great stay for a week
Josette was incredibly welcoming (in spite of a hurt foot - she met us at the property to show us around). The layout was perfect for two adults and a 19 year old grand-daughter. Bedrooms on separate sides of the living room and a lovely shower sink area and separate toilet. Washer and dryer were also very helpful. The kitchen has everything one could possibly need although we didn't actually cook except breakfast. The location, near several bus lines was fine - metro a 5 minute walk, great vegetable/fruit store around the corner and pizza across the street. Josette made it all easy and a joy to stay here. I'd love to come back

Perfect Paris apartment
My communication with Josette before and during my trip was prompt and informative. The checkin instructions were flawless. Josette met us at the apartment and informed us how to use the appliances and where to find what we needed. In addition, the property notebook was very helpful in navigating the neighborhood and Paris. The two bedrooms are at opposite sides of the apartment, giving us and our granddaughter the privacy we needed. Every morning, I went to the boulangerie next door for baguette and croissants to share in the charming and sunny dining room. The proximity to the Luxembourg Garden was wonderful. I look forward to my next trip to Paris and the opportunity to rent the apartment again. Josette also arranged a taxi to the airport.

Elegant and spacious flat, amazing host
The flat and the host, Josette, were fabulous. The space is so large, and the bedrooms are quite far apart which was great for my 16 year old. The kitchen was truly a pleasure to work in, and the location was wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about the stay, including the gracious, responsive and thoughtful host. Great location for a lovely Parisian apartment
The apartment was wonderful for my husband, daughter and I! Josette was very attentive and helpful. Having a full kitchen allowed us to make meals when we wanted to. Next door was a boulangerie with fabulous baguettes. It was nice at the end of a day to come home to a comfortable space to hang out, watch TV or have dinner. Proximity to the metro/RER/bus was a very short walk. Having the Luxembourg Gardens just up the street was a lovely addition. There is some road noise but we were not bothered by it. We would love to stay here again sometime!

Josette and her family were so generous to share their charming and well-appointed home with us for a long weekend in Paris. Unlike most accomodations where the 2nd "bedroom" is a pull-out couch, Josette's apartment truly has two bedrooms and a large living room and dining room. The location is perfect: We walked to all the sights in Paris, and found plenty close in to enjoy, too. (I highly recommend the artichoke salad at Le Cristal!). Josette was so kind to arrange for her son to meet my bleary eyed husband after his overnight flight, and she checked with me during our stay to make sure everything was going well. Fabulous, fabulous! We will be back!

Perfection in Paris
We had such a wonderful stay in this gorgeous apartment, one of our best apartment rentals ever! Josette our host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The apartment was perfectly located to explore the city, and excellent restaurants were nearby. Amazing and caring host
Josette met us at the Apartment on arrival. Answered our questions and gave us fresh cake and some essentials. She also booked our taxi to airport. Tha Apartment is accurately described location. It was noisy on Saturday night (inconsiderate neighbour in the adjoining building.) Overall a wonderful place to stay in Paris!
