Nestled in a rural area and within walking distance of the East Verde River that runs through the community, this amazing area offers a relaxing retreat for guests. Rim Country Museum and Myra's Art Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Rancho Tonto Catch-A-Trout and Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching. With a true rustic cabin feel, Trout Creek Cabin features a king bed, queen bed, and a sofa bed, there's plenty of space for everyone. Other essentials provided include heating, AC, WiFi, fireplace, washer/dryer and kitchen essentials. The bathroom is well-equipped with dual sinks and shower/tub combo. Great, quiet spot. Very detailed listing!
We received very detailed instructions and directions to the property. This was crucial, as the cabin is in a great location but not super easy to find without these directions. The property was very clean, with everything included exactly as it appeared in the listing. Quiet and cool evenings in late March. Exactly what we wanted, away from town, traffic, etc. Thank you!!!

Cabin and location was beautiful! The only suggestion I have is outside furniture could have been cleaner. I suggest having a cover for your sectional! It was very dusty and didn't use! It was awesome overall.

Fell in love again
This was our second time staying and we fell in love with this cabin again. It’s the perfect spot to build a fire and relax. We found an incredible spot for dinner named Duza’s. I have no idea how a place like this needed up in Payson, but it is outstanding. The yard at the cabin is perfect for our pups. We just love this for a quick getaway from the valley. We did some great hiking just down the road too. Thank you for having us again. We love this cabin!

Cozy Stay and neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay place is cozy we enjoyed being able to play tennis and basketball near by and walk by creek. This was our first time traveling with our small dogs they loved the out door area. It was gated good for my small dogs.

Very clean and cozy. Well stocked kitchen and bath. Only wish we would have had more wood to burn. Only had one night’s worth and had to go buy wood for remainder of week. Would stay again!

Wonderful escape from the demands of life
The cabin was very beautiful. We pulled into the drive and saw a gas fire pit, comfy chairs, and best of all a giant connect four game for my two year old granddaughter. Her joy continued as she discovered the secret play room upstairs. It was wonderful. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other a queen. The cabin was excellent and we took walks to the creek. Beautiful scenery. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This cabin is well appointed inside with most everything we could need. The check in process was easy enough once I figured out the keypad entry. The patio area of this cabin is especially pleasant - but the other outside areas are getting a bit dated and the furniture is a bit weather worn etc. Also - we had to move the one propane tank from the grill to the firepit as the other two containers were empty. I mentioned during check in I had a few issues initially and when I tried to call both numbers provided by the host - both went to voicemail. Luckily we figured it out. Finally - while the proximity to the river for fishing or even swimming was awesome - it is a bit "crowded" in the neighborhood and we had many many dogs in the neighborhood on a pretty constant barking spree every time someone walked by - especially if walking their dog. Again - overall we liked the place - and the price was very reasonable - but we like to be honest in our reviews.

Absolutely Awesome!
I have stayed at mountain cabins in Calif, Colo, and all over Arizona and this is the BEST cabin I have stayed at. It is warm, welcoming and has virtually everything one needs for a few days in the high country. It is more than just a cabin.....it is a home. I cannot say enough about how much I and my adult daughter enjoyed the stay. Our two dogs seemed at home and comfortable as well. I give this cabin and the manager my highest recommendation. I WILL go back.

The cabin is top notch and put together with a real touch of warmth. The location is quite. The cabin had everything we needed. Close enough to town to be convenient, yet far enough away to enjoy the woods, view, and wildlife. We will definitely stay there ne t time we are in the area.
