Perfect Mount Washington Home, Walkable w/Parking

Summary:
This one level home with private parking is perfect for long or short stays! This Mount Washington residential space is located in a walkable neighborhood full of shopping, dinning and only a few blocks away from the best view in all of Pittsburgh-Grandview Ave. Ride either of the world famous inclines to Station Square. Easy access to downtown, Southside, Heinz Field, PNC Park, PPG Paints Arena, Convention Center and so much more. A quick drive to Carnegie Mellon, University of Pittsburgh etc.

The Space:
We have remodeled this home in 2020 and our goal was to keep it bright, fresh and simple. The perfect mix to help you feel as though you are in your own home that has just been professionally cleaned :)

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the entire home. Living room, eat in kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. Private parking is also available.

The Neighborhood:
Charming Mount Washington is known for its panoramic city views, from spots including Grandview Avenue’s Restaurant Row, home to upscale seafood and Italian restaurants. The Monongahela and Duquesne Inclines are funiculars that climb the hill to lookouts like Grandview Overlook. Point of View Park has a bronze sculpture of George Washington with Seneca leader Guyasuta, while Emerald View Park is laced with trails.

Interaction with Guests:
We are always available for guests but also love to give you your own privacy so that you feel this is your own home. If needed, we are just a phone call or message away.

Place was perfect for our weekend trip to Pittsburgh. Place was nice inside and communication with the property manager was fast and helpful. Location was great for us as it was just a short ride to North Shore and downtown Pittsburgh. Would absolutely stay at this property my again.

We loved the location of this property. We did not rent a car in Pittsburgh. This property is only a couple blocks from the best views of downtown Pittsburgh. If you like walking I highly recommend this area. You can rent bikes near the Hard Rock Cafe. We walked all the way into downtown across the river each day we were here. If you are active and enjoy walking this is a great location. If you don't like to walk a lot you could rent a car. The area this home is in was very quiet and felt safe. Communication with the owners was very responsive. There is a fantastic bakery with the best Cruellers (Grandview Bakery) close by along with some restaurants and a little grocery store in the Shiloh area which is easy to walk to. The only things we feel could be improved is the bath towels (maybe bring your own) and no kleenex or conditioner provided. The mattresses and bedding could be improved as the mattresses felt very old, hard and springy and the bedding could be improved. Overall though we loved the location as it was great exercise to cross the river to get to downtown and walk a lot and the views from this area a couple blocks from this home made this an excellent choice for us. If you are going to see an NFL game like we did you may want to consider renting a car or staying somewhere walkable to the stadium as it was insane trying to get a ride back up to Mount Washington after the game. A nice gesture was the basket of little snacks left by the owner.

Enjoyable stay in great location
We enjoyed our stay in the Mt. Washington area. The house was clean, spacious, and in great proximity to the the Grandview Overlook and Shiloh Street shops and restaurants. Our host was communicative and the check in process, which we did after midnight, was simple. We would stay at the property again.

Great Neighborhood
This was my first visit to Pittsburgh. I loved staying in this neighborhood. It was very clean and safe. The neighbors were kind and friendly, and treated us as extended family. It was relaxing and quiet after long days of sightseeing. The hosts are fantastic, and quick to answer any questions. I would definitely book with them again.

There’s a Reason this Place Gets Great Reviews
I can’t believe how lucky we were to have found this cool and simple apartment in Mount Washington. Everything they say and all the reviews are completely accurate. Great neighborhood and close to everything. We walked to breakfast, great pubs and diners in the Shiloh area. Entrance is easy and private parking very abundant in an area where parking is at a premium. I slept great on a comfortable mattress and the neighbors and neighborhood was quiet. I texted with the owners a couple of times about questions and got almost immediate responses every time. No complaints whatsoever. If you want to sit outside on a deck or porch, your options are limited, but you can always stroll down to Coughlin's Law Kitchen and Ale House.

We stayed 2 nights. The unit was super nice and very convenient. I parked my car and walked and used PRT to explore Pittsburgh. The property manager was great and quick to respond. Lots of things to do and see. The private parking is great.

TL; DR - Lovely apartment, nicely appointed, great owners. We chose this apartment in Mt. Washington so that we could be near where my son is living and for all of the family to get together. This apartment was perfect for that. We fully used the kitchen to make two full meals and sit and chat in comfort. We were in and out for various events, and the location was central for all we needed. The highway and two tunnels across the river are within a mile or two. Mt. Washington's views are just around the corner. We had a maintenance issue in our first evening, but the hosts responded and had it fixed quickly. I can't say enough about the personal interactions and willingness to make our stay as like home as possible!

A quick weekend in Pittsburgh
I would definitely recommend! We were dropping my daughter off at Pitt and found this to be a nice location—just a quick car ride away. Plenty of parking available and the owners are very responsive and helpful. Everything was as advertised. We would stay again the next time we visit.

This very cozy, well-maintained, and reasonably priced apartment was idea for a long summer weekend in Pittsburgh which we visited for the Reds - Pirates baseball series. Very convenient to PNC Park, Duquesne University, University of Pittsburgh, and downtown. Some nice restaurants in walking distance including La Tavola which we highly recommend for an excellent Italian meal, and Coughlin's Law for more traditional American cuisine in a pub setting. We would choose this Mount Washington apartment again for future visits to Pittsburgh.

Place was very nice. The spot for the trashcans to take out the trash was a little unclear but no big deal. There was a lot of stores that were near the place like grocery, liquor stores , a couple of bars and a brewery/restaurant. Only thing that I wish I knew was the walking distance to ppg stadium. I thought it was closer based off the distance but it was like a 45-50 minute walk from the place to ppg. We ended up just taking a Lyft both ways so it’s not even that deep. Would definitely stay here again though

We had an issue with the VRBO listing being mixed up with another property, but the owner was very responsive and took care of it right away. Place was nice and clean. Location is awesome. Be prepared for VERY steep roads. Would rent again.

I stayed in the property with my parents and my 4 yo and 1 yo sons. The place was very cute and had everything we needed! Mount Washington has nice outdoor restaurants, grocery store and other shops close by. The home was also very close to the incline! A short trip to get down the mountain and into nearby areas.

This is a really nice place in a great neighborhood. The apartment is clean, nicely appointed and quiet. It's within walking distance to restaurants, the Monongahela Incline and the overlooks. The owner is very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend.
