Saltwater Joys - 2BR/2.5BA Dog Friendly

Saltwater Joys is the perfect escape from the day to day grind to enjoy all that the Cape has to offer. Located across from the playground and overlooking the State Park, Saltwater Joys is less than 4 minutes to the beach! It has recently been updated with new flooring, new living room furniture and updated décor.

Barrier Dunes is a gated community that offers paved streets, stocked fishing ponds, lighted tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, 3 beach accesses, boat cleaning station and overflow parking for boats. This is the perfect get away for a couple, kids or the entire family!

Saltwater Joys offers all the amenities you need for a perfect stay at the beach! All you need to bring is your favorite beach towel and sunscreen! The spacious deck is perfect for reading or just enjoying private 'down' time. The decor is all about comfort and relaxation. There is a 47' flat screen tv in the living room, sleeper sofa and love seat, oversized coffee table (perfect for playing games), and overstuffed chair.

There is a full washer and dryer on the main level, half bath, dining area that seats six, and well stock kitchen with a window over the sink with a view of the playground, perfect for watching the kids play!

The master bedroom is beautifully decorated with a king bed, full dresser, tv, end tables and deck that overlooks the State Park. The master bathroom has a separate shower and tub, double vanity and private water closet. The second bedroom has a queen bed, nightstands and lamps for reading, full bath with shower, private balcony overlooking the State Park and large closet.

Each bathroom is stocked with one roll of toilet tissue, and hand soap. Also, we provide quality linens and thick towels. The laundry area has a starter supply of detergent for your convenience.

There is also an outdoor shower with hot/cold running water. Nice long driveway to park a boat/trailer.

There is an additional fee if you decide to bring your dog! Barrier Dunes is very accommodating for your favorite 4 legged friend! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs.


50% of balance due is due at booking and the remaining balance is due 60 days prior to check-in. Pet Fee is $150.00 and is non refundable.
All reservations require sending in a copy of your government issued ID for age verification purposes.

Wonderful place
Loved staying here! Walk to beach about 5 mins. Back deck has beautiful view. House is very comfy but could use a small update to cooking vessels and propane was out but greatly enjoyed our stay. Pool is nice and loved the community and amenities. Very dog friendly. Would 100% stay here again.

Great family spot
We has a great time at Cape San Blas in general, and this condo was perfect for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. Everyone had plenty of space, the beds are comfortable and kitchen is well equipped. It is a little bit of a walk to the beach access, but with comfortable beach shoes we made do. Maybe rent a golf cart next time? We hope to come back soon!

This property was clean and perfect for our needs. It’s a short walk to the beach in a beautiful community. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is nice. Would recommend bringing extra toiletries such as toilet paper, towels and washcloths, etc for longer stays. Great place and location!

Weekend getaway
From the moment we booked up to when we checkout. The communication was on point. We had an issue with the place we originally booked, and they was right on it making sure we had a new place to stay! We came down for Labor Day weekend and brought our dog Andy with us. He had the best time and loved meeting all the other doggies! The location and area is just beautiful. We definitely will be back!

Loved the location, and just a short walking distance to the beach. The carpet in the bedrooms really need a good cleaning or replaced and the bathroom floor mats were bad but we just washed them ourselves. Kitchen could use a few more items as well. But for the price and overall stay we loved it and definitely worth it! And quick response when we needed the propane tank refilled too!

Perfect for a family of 4
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saltwater Joys. The home was clean and comfortable and included everything we needed. The kids loved having a playground right in front of the house. The beach is a short walk away. Cape San Blas is quiet and peaceful. We loved the Indian Pass Oyster Bar and St. Joe’s Shrimp Company.

Great stay on the Cape
We love Cape San Blas- this is our 4th year in a row down there. This condo was great for my husband, three kids (19,15,10), two dogs, and me. It was very clean with plenty of space! Kitchen was well stocked with what I needed to cook. Washer and dryer worked great. AC kept us very cool. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. The beds were all comfy as well. The walk to the beach with all of us and our stuff was a little over 5 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all. Loved our view of the bay out the one side of the condo. The only thing I would say to improve would be to get darker curtains for the bedroom. On vacation we like to sleep in some days. It was difficult to do this with the sun shining so brightly in the bedroom so early in the morning. We would stay again and recommend it to anyone!

Having playground right there was nice for kids. Complex was clean and felt very safe. The unit was as advertised and met all of our needs. 1 minor issue and it was addressed quickly. We would certainly come here again; highly recommend for families.

Nothing fancy- just what we needed.
This place had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. It was just right for our 4 day, end of summer vacation “last gasp”. The place had a few shortcomings, but nothing that stood in the way of us having a great time. Be sure not to put anything out on the covered porch that shouldn’t get drenched- the roof is more of a sunshade than a rain shelter. No hanging out on the porch, listening to the rain! The internet was a bit flakey, but I have a feeling that’s a Cape San Blas thing. It was definitely time to retire some of the bed linens and towels, but we found extra. The place could stand a new coat of paint- but hey! It’s the beach! Who cares? The beds were comfy, the living room furniture was plush, management was very responsive, the dogs were happy- I’d go back if I found myself in the cape again.

We enjoyed our stay at this townhouse. This is our second stay in the neighborhood. This townhouse is on the front road side (longer walk to beach) but we didn’t mind since it was just my husband and I. The AC works great at this location. All appliances worked great. Everything was very clean when we arrived. We didn’t need to notify the owner about anything. One day the wifi was down while we were getting ready for dinner but on our way back to the unit, a truck was outside fixing it so someone else reported it. I would stay here again for sure!

Perfect for a family of 5 with young children
We loved our stay at Saltwater Joys! It was very convenient being across from the playground and we had beautiful views from the balcony. This was our second time staying in Barrier Dunes and we would definitely rent Saltwater Joys again. The walk to the beach and pool isn't very long and the owners provide a beach cart to help carry everything. The house was very clean, kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you for letting us stay at your home!

Beautiful Sunsets and Rest
We had our adult son and his expecting wife with us for a great visit. The property was wonderful and the location was perfect for a relaxing vacation. Although not directly on the beach it was a short walk to get there. We will definitely be returning soon to the worlds most beautiful beaches.
