Excellent location, responsive guest contact/owner

The location couldn’t be any better, literally a few steps from the beach. The guest contact was very responsive in getting back to me with any questions or concerns we had which is great however there were too many times we had to reach out to them during our stay, all basically minor things but things that should be taken care of prior to guest arrival so we don’t have to ask for thing. He was sure to get these things taken care of as we asked in a timely manner but again things that should have been handled prior to arrival, which I belive is more on the cleaning staff than owner as they are the ones in the property between guests.

i want a refund!

we would like a full or at least a partial refund. this house is infested with bugs - cokroaches to be specific. they were all over the kitchen and bathroom, in the coffee maker - it was disgusting!!!! we tried to leave to find another option and everything was booked. we needed to leave all the food items we brought with us there in the garbage because we saw bugs on the counter where we put the food, this was another waste of money! i have had to leave everything we did bring home outside and spray it all with clorox and wash all of our clothing in hot water and dry it in hot heat to get rid of any possible eggs - per google look up. please respond to my concerns, thank you

DO NOT STAY - ROACHES

When we arrived at the property, there were roaches crawling everywhere, including on the ceiling and inside the fridge. There were also tons of dead roaches around the place. The apartment was also extremely dirty apart from the bugs and did not match the photos in the listing (red stains on walls, stains on couch and sheets, dirt and dust on surfaces, cabinet falling off the hinges, etc.). We called the host on arrival, and he agreed to refund us, which was nice, but he admitted was aware of the roaches. He had not warned us or ensured they were eradicated before we arrived. When we were leaving, a neighbor said that the roaches had been an issue for months and was shocked that it was still being rented out. In short, book something else.

Great location, horrible experience

We requested an early check in and we were told we were good to go. Upon arriving with my wife and 4 young kids, we walked into a unit that had not been cleaned. There was a pool of water outside the bathroom, the fridge was pulled out and there were bugs everywhere. Honest mishap. There was a miscommunication between the owner and the cleaner and the owner was very apologetic. However, we also saw live cockroaches crawling around and the unit smelt like smoke. We decided that the unit was not going to be suitable for our children, even after the cleaning. We requested a refund and the owner was initially very communicative but ultimately has not responded in a week or provided a refund. The location was incredible but our experience was awful.

Nice location but Roach infested..

This property has a really nice location right next to the beach and within walking distance to the Old orchard beach pier. However, the hotel room is infested with roaches, the shower room has a shower head that is just dangling on the shower floor attached to a hose though still working. Just very inconvenient when showering. I did not find a pass code for the wifi anywhere as well. And to top it off, we had to wait 45 minutes past our check in time for the place to be finished cleaning which is extremely inconvenient if you have an itinerary. Check in time is 4 and the place have been ready by 4.

Place Needs to be Fumigated and Deep Cleaned

Pros: The location of this place was great and I booked it based on the reviews from last summer, which were great. Isaiah the property manager was very nice to deal with and quick to respond. Cons: WiFi password and server had changed and we had difficulty getting any service, even texts, which was needed to meet up with people. Luckily a neighbor figured it out and shared it with us. Once we could get service again, Isaiah was able to explain what happened. Cons: The place itself was dirty. We asked if we could get in a little early, so I chalked up the drinks left in the fridge to that, but we only got the message to get in, about an hour early, so it wasn’t much of a difference. There was someone’s personal info in the bedroom bureau. I’m assuming this is the off season renter. Things were old and soiled. There were paper towels stuffed in the window to block holes. But the biggest issue was the bugs!! COCKROACHES to be exact. I’ve never encountered this before. They were literally coming out of the woodwork at night. We only spent about 17 hours of our 2 night stay and just couldn’t remain there. Too many bugs. Came home and fumigated all of my things. In closing, Isaiah was nice and refunded one of my nights plus the cleaning fee, but this place should not be rented out until there has been a deep clean and the bug situation is eradicated.

There were bugs and roaches in my unit.. cleaning ppl were still there at check in and gave them another 45 minutes before I was done! Run down and needs updating…. The bugs were the worst

Great location and nice

Had a great time! The listing needs to be updated with the correct access instructions and wifi info but otherwise smooth check in process. Steps away from the beach and easy parking. Good ample space for just the two of us , but there was sleeping spots for 6 but it would be a squeeze but could be okay if you’re planning on being out and about for most the day. Would definitely come back maybe when the amusement park is open, we didn’t realize it closed after Labor Day for the rest of summer but the arcade was fun and walking to the pier.

Aug beach stay

Very clean, great coffee maker and 1 block from beach that allows dogs off leash a few hrs in morning if well behaved and near owner. Loved being able to walk through surf with pup first thing each day. Everyone on beach very friendly and dogs too. Discovered a farm stand nearby with steamed-on-order, and where one could purchase fresh vegetables.

pre-season beach visit

great location!! 30 second walk to the beach made this spot a real gem of a find. Overall everything was comfortable and exactly as we expected. parking was super easy which was nice. had all the basic amenities needed for a trip to the beach. We would definitely return.

Ocean fix!

Location was excellent. The place is “tired“ but very workable. Very clean. Small. A good queen bed would be an inexpensive and fabulous upgrade! Everything was well supplied except no wash clothes. Great to have the body wash, needed the wash cloth. Everything else was great for the price.. I see it rents during the season for 450 a night I would feel that’s excessive for what you get. Great at 195 night!

Clean but very old

Basically what they said it was. Definitely could updates. Finish on the walls was wafer board. It was clean. Shower really needs to be replaced. Very close to beach. Overall , good weekend place.

Perfect location

Beach Fun

The place was able to meet our needs and we were able to relax, enjoy the beach, and the joys of Old Orchard with this clean and cool location. Our only surprise was the picture of one of the bedrooms did not reflect the current space. It did have twin beds but they were bunk beds. We had four adults so one couple stayed on the pull out couch versus the smaller bunk beds. Other then that we enjoyed the location.

We had a great time.

The location of this place was great. Steps from the beach. All the amenities listed were available. You could tell the place gets a lot of use. The furniture, especially the couch could use an upgrade. Overall it was great.

Cant beat this location

We had so much fun staying at this house. It's right on the beach so we were able to go over for early mornings, late nights, and anytime we felt like it. The house is small for 5 people, but it doesn't matter because you'll be spending the whole time at the beach anyway! Isaiah was very helpful and we were able to check in early to get some extra waves in. Would definitely stay again.

Not spacious but just steps from the beach

This property offers a fantastic location, just steps from the beach and a short walk from the heart of OOB. But it was rather cramped for a family of 5. And the parking spaces assigned to each unit were not clearly marked, leading to confusion. The property manager was very responsive.
