This unique place has a style all its own. Enjoy an amazing view experience (including stunning sunsets, sunrises, city lights, San Francisco peaks, Mingus Mountain & a slither of Watson Lake when full) from the property.

While you stay at Prickly Pear you will enjoy the uniqueness of the cozy studio where you have all the amenities in the comfortable well-designed space. Views from the property are spectacular: You will see panoramic views of the S.F. Peaks, Mingus Mountain, Willow Lake, the Dells! The open floor plan offers a bedroom, living area, kitchenette, and dining area with electric fireplace and Smart TV.
You have a French door with access to the front of the studio where you can sit and enjoy the sunsets. The sliding door leads out to the back of the property

The kitchenette has a toaster, fridge, freezer, and 2 coffee making options for our coffee connoisseurs. There’s a cute indoor dining table for two. Cozy up to the electric fireplace on the chilly days and evenings. The comfortable queen bed with feather duvet is positioned for you to enjoy the fire and tv. Or lounge on the couch for the same experience. If you're fortunate to be an early riser you will love the morning sky, step out to the back patio and enjoy the sunrise. The studio is positioned to enjoy both sunsets from front patio and sunrises from back patio.

Your bathroom is UNIQUE as it was built into the rocks. Step free European shower room with rain shower, toilet, sink vanity, built in Bluetooth speaker, mood lighting, motion sensor lighting, heater, and clothes storage. There is an outdoor dining table on the property for you to use if you feel like eating outside. Come enjoy and have fun in Prescott.

You are welcome to meander around the property on the walking paths around the little seasonal pond and other areas. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the stunning views, the beautiful bird sculpture, and listen to the wildlife making their music.

***We allow for 2 domestic pet. We charge a $40 per night per pet fee. Please let us know ahead of time if you're going to be bringing a pet.

Our Southwest studio is 3.1 miles from Prescott's d/town. We are located in the hills dotted w/ custom homes.

The studio was very nice and clean. The only problem was that the owners lived above the studio and were there the whole time. You could hear them and what sounded like a dog walking around above on and off the four days we were there. Back patio was not private with the owners patio overlooking the sitting area. It was not stated in the description that the studio was attached to their home.

Comfortable space, well designed, clean and cozy. A nice reprieve from the scorching Phoenix heat. Close enough to town and not too far from kayaking at Watson lake but isolated enough to enjoy the views and our time away from the hustle and bustle. Overall, just a nice relaxing time in a beautiful cool setting. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Prescott area .

A Great Stay!
This property is a comfortable, cozy studio adjoining the main house and true to the listing description. It is located in a unique, hilly, quiet neighborhood where homes are built into the rocky boulder studded hillsides with great views! The location is convenient for groceries, pharmacy/emergency needs, ERAU, a great dog park, hiking and short drive to downtown Prescott. The hosts are what also make this a wonderful experience! They are welcoming, available if needed, knowledgeable about the area/things to do and offer a dog friendly accommodation. This was our first VRBO stay in Prescott and we would stay here again.

The property is gorgeous sitting on hill overlooking the mountains. We had breakfast sipping our coffee absorbing the view and the property. The only thing I would put caution to is if you, like me, have physical disability. The property can be very tough, lot’s landscaped stairs without railing.

Cozy, clean, and cool!
The spot was exactly as advertised. It was nestled into the side of a hill, but was still easily accessible and easy to find. Perfect for a couple or solo traveler who wants to be a short drive from town, but have the feeling of being one with nature. It had everything we needed and the neighborhood was really quiet, which made it easy to relax and charge our batteries. Would recommend!

A bit small - but very enjoyable
My sweetie and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The location is quiet yet close to town, and the view is impressive. We spent time outside on a small patio in the mornings, watching the sun rise and feeling it wash across our faces with brightness and warmth. The living space is small, but our hosts did a good job with the layout design. The queen bed was lush and comfortable, but there isn't room for a nightstand on both sides. The bathroom sink is the only source of water for coffee and rinsing used glasses. But we quickly fell into a comfortable pattern, and the quiet, expansive view more than made up for any minor inconvenience. We loved our visit. To our hosts, thanks very much for your hospitality!

This quaint studio is tucked up on a hill built into the rocks. I was greeted by one of the host Kelly who helped me settle in and made sure I had what I needed. This trip turned into an unique experience because the prediction of snow was supposed to have been 1"-2", yet 12" later the deep piles created a beautiful landscape around the property. The cozy fireplace made for a comfortable stay and the even cozier bed, kept me warm and toasty at night. The bathroom is one of the big highlights of this studio. The rock facings coming from the walls gives it a cool rustic look. Kelly and Gillian did not hold back on comforts. There are usb ports to charge electronics, a fun Bluetooth speaker light if you want to have a dance party in the shower and comfortable furnishings. I highly recommend getting up for the sun rise, the view from the back window is breath taking. I would go back and stay at this or one of their other properties. It is close to all the conveniences but with the mountain top feel.
