Soaring Eagles Log Chalet

Welcome to Soaring Eagles Chalet. Nestled on the Mountain overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Awesome accommodation for 6 guests and for an extra fee we can open the Ocean View Room with very comfortable Queen Murphy bed and powder-room to accommodate up to eight guest in total.
Room #1: Amazing Master Suite A with 4 piece bath that has therapeutic tub and Extra large walk in shower with multiple heads as well as rain shower head including King bed and 65" flat screen TV

Room #2: Downstairs Guest room B with Queen Bed and dresser closet And lounge chair with washroom right across the hall.
Room #3 Is the Loft room above Kitchen with two twin beds and a love seat and computer desk and small dresser and a closet.
Ocean View room : This room is for groups of more than 6 people and can be booked for a fee. Amazing Ocean View Room C is located off sundeck via covered walkway.. It has a Queen Murphy bed as well as a couch Flat Screen TV and a wet bar and wine fridge as well as a two piece bath. Shower access is via the
main floor by Kitchen. All rooms only accommodate two people.

Come relax on the deck with a glass of wine or enjoy use of our Hot tub on the deck.
Go explore the beaches or walk around town it’s just 15 minutes away or hike at Little Qualicum River Falls only five minutes away from the Chalet. At night sit in the hot tub and watch the stars,
Play Golf on one of the many local courses within 30-40 minutes

Definite Do-Over!
As this was only on our 2nd VRBO booking, I felt we were fortunate to have Tom & Tammy as our hosts. Our rookie type questions up front, were handled politely and promptly! The look of the property, driving in and walking up to the main entrance set the tone for our whole stay. Very clean, incredibly stocked with unexpected extras, and a deck/view that was hard to leave! A definite do over!!

Beautiful Cabin
Had such a great stay! The view was gorgeous, the rooms were really comfortable, and the hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a day of hiking. Tom and Tammy were very easy to communicate with.

Peaceful Oasis for Family Gathering
We stayed very comfortably at Tom and Tammy's place with two families and a grandparent for a family gathering (5 adults and a few children under 5 yrs). Their home has a beautiful view and a terrific patio with a hot tub that provided a great way to wind down in the evenings. The kitchen is newly built / renovated with great appliances and it is well appointed for cooking. You can tell much love and care was put into this home. The hosts were warm and welcoming and very communicative / available if anything was needed. There is a separate "games room" or the equivalent of a pool house with a bed, couch, washroom and bar area. This was a great way to provide a bit of a quiet escape (great for my mother in law who had a bit of extra privacy there). We had a wonderful stay and would be happy to return! Very well appointed with a gorgeous view.

Great stay
Only pb was finding the property with google map and this could be flag during early construction.We thoroughly enjoy our stay and the beauty of the setting. A French press style coffee maker could be useful and recycling options could also be a great addition to this peace of paradise.

Peaceful Island Paradise
Tom and Tammy's mountain chalet was exactly what our family was looking for during our stay on Vancouver Island. We had plenty of room for our family of four (including 2 adult children) to spread out and enjoy this little piece of paradise. The chalet has a well-equipped and clean kitchen. All the other rooms were also clean and comfortable. The living room message chair and outdoor hottub on the back deck were thoroughly enjoyed by our family. Being surrounded by the beauty and serenity of Nature is, by far, the greatest asset of this gem. The regular visits from the resident hummingbirds was a highlight for all our family members. We would definitely book this chalet again the next time we return to Vancouver Island.

Exceptional property for large group
We very much enjoyed staying at Soaring Eagles Chalet… 8 of us, including our young adult children and partners (ages15-22). Enough space for us all to be comfortable, and all the amenities were fabulous. Quiet and peaceful, hot tub views were awesome, morning coffees on the deck fantastic. Our hosts were quick to respond to inquiries, and very helpful with tips for hiking and exploring the area. Qualicum Beach was close enough for convenient grocery runs or meals out. We would come back in a heartbeat.

This fabulous home was super clean, spacious, and comfortable. Tom and Tammy were extremely responsive. They provided us with everything we needed included recommendations for hikes and fun activities. Would have loved to been able to stay longer and highly recommend this home to others for a wonderful getaway!

A beautiful home from home
My family and I stayed at Soaring Eagles for a week around a family wedding - a simply wonderful place! Lots of space, exceptional views, truly comfortable, every facility you could need, BBQ, hot tub, deck, gym, laundry....I could go on! Above all else, though, Tom, the host, was marvellous. Communicated during the build up to our trip and was attentive throughout our stay, even providing something specific we needed for the next day! Whether it was coffee looking at a stunning sunrise, an evening glass of wine watching the eagles and hummingbirds, a full on movie night or stargazing at midnight, Soaring Eagles offers an exquisite base for any holiday or adventure in Qualicum Bay and Vancouver Island. It only leaves me to say a final huge thank you to Tom! Kathy

Unique and special
A very well built log home with lots of high-end finishing and features including a great master bath. Very comfortable furniture. A nice little gym. And a great deck with huge hot tub and incredibly long views. The hummingbirds are constant companions. The property is very private so at the end of a long day exploring local attractions you have peace and quiet on the beautiful deck. This property is a gem, highly recommended.

An Incredible month, we would stay here again
We stayed in this lovely log home for 4 weeks and we enjoyed being there very much. The home is light and spacious, and the views are incredible. It is well kept up and clean, with plenty of special features. My husband loved the massage chair! If you are looking for a peaceful tranquil setting, this house will most certainly fit the bill. Aside from the sounds of nature and the gurgling sound of the waterfall spilling into the fishpond, it is exceptionally quiet and serene. There are no neighbors visible from the home, or nearby, so it is very private. The only bedroom we used during our stay was the master bedroom/bath and it was comfortable and luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, the shower and tub were a real treat, as were the heated floors. The owner Tom is a wealth of information and was a joy to deal with. He communicated promptly and clearly and was always available if we had a question or concerns. There are only a couple of things to be aware of when considering this property. The kitchen could be somewhat better equipped, especially if cooking for a large group. Tom is working hard to correct that, so by the time you are reading this I think it is VERY likely to have been addressed. He is always open to suggestions in ways to improve the experience of his guests. There are also a lot of stairs in this house and on the property. People with mobility/vision issues need to be aware of that.

Delightful Time at Soaring Eagles Chalet
The accommodation was exceptional. The views were endless and even more impressive when watching the night sky. We loved watching the humming birds visit the feeders and seeing bald eagles flying daily. The owners Tom and Tammy were great! They were in contact with us to ensure our safe arrival and that we settled in. They were also on hand for any questions that we had. Such a wonderful place to visit!
