Do not stay here!!
I chose this property due to its proximity, historic appeal, tastefully decorated room and the 13 outstanding ratings. It’s all BUT this! To begin, I had trouble getting in touch with the host- I called and he would forward my call to voicemail and failed to return my calls. When making reservations, we are required to type an email address; he did not acknowledge the proper address and my check in notification was never received. Thanks to VRBO rep, this was discovered. I went into the account but had two rooms assigned to me!! I actually stood and input security code while standing at someone else’s room!! The building looks as if it should be condemned. There was trash littered around the outside, the stairs were filthy and there were stains on the walls and comforter! I didn’t feel clean after showing because I stood in water over my ankles! The air conditioning is a portable unit in the middle of the room with a vent hose out the window that was closed in with cardboard and duct tape! Damaged paint, construction debris in the hallway and mold in the shower! This feels like a scam! I have photos but VRBO site does allow this option.
