The space
This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom bungalow offers versatility as a great accommodation for short weekend escapes and long-term stays alike. With accommodations for up to 4 guests, and thoughtfully equipped amenities ensuring everyone's comfort.

A Minut home sensor monitors noise levels and guest occupancy without recording audio or video to protect your privacy. If noise exceeds the set threshold, the host is notified and will ask you to reduce it for neighborhood comfort. The sensor also detects the number of Bluetooth devices to prevent parties. Please note that the laundry facilities are located in the basement, which requires the use of stairs. As it is a typical basement, please exercise caution when using it.

Neighbourhood
The home is nestled in a safe and quiet residential area in Rolla. You will be a short walk to both Schuman Park and Ber Juan Park. Enjoy the beautiful wooded trails for a morning stroll or afternoon jog.

Missouri S&T is a 15-minute walk from the home, as is downtown Rolla. You’ll find lots of cute shops, great restaurants, and coffee shops here, particularly along Pine Street. Fort Leonard Wood by way of I-44 is a 30-minute drive Fugitive Beach is a 15-minute drive.

If you’re looking for essential services, here are a few that are close by:

*Sinks Pharmacy - 3 minute drive
*Price Chopper - 4 minute drive
*CVS - 5 minute drive
*Aldi - 5 minute drive


Getting around
There is parking at the property as well as free street parking.

While a car is the best way to get around in Rolla, many areas are walkable and we have cab companies too.

We understand plans can change, so here’s a quick rundown of our cancellation policy:
- Full Refund: Cancel at least 30 days before check-in.
- 50% Refund: Cancel between 7 and 30 days before check-in.
- No Refund: Cancel fewer than 7 days before check-in.
- Special Case: Full refund within 48 hours of booking if canceled at least 14 days before check-in.
Note: A 4% processing fee applies to all cancellations (excluding Airbnb bookings).
A note about our sewer system:
The house has an antique sewer system that is very sensitive. In order to prevent damage, we kindly request that NOTHING is flushed down the toilet other than toilet paper and regular human waste. PLEASE, no baby wipes or feminine hygiene products (even if they say FLUSHABLE -- do not flush them) or any other material other than human waste and the provided toilet paper. Thank you for your attention to this sensitive issue.

Check-in and checkout times:
Check in time is at your convenience, anytime after 4 pm. Check out time is 11 am.

If you need a late checkout, we are happy to accommodate these requests up to 24 hours in advance of your arrival (preferably at the time of booking) for the fee of $25 per hour. Sorry, we are not able to accommodate late checkout requests made within 24 hours of checkout.


We are unable to guarantee early check-in times as we are often cleaning up after the previous guests up until your arrival time. If you’d like to drop your bags, we can accommodate this after 12:00 pm on the day of your arrival. Upon request, we also can message you when the property is clean and ready for you.


Unplanned late checkouts will be charged $50 per hour. We’ll give you a 10 minute grace period before the charge is incurred. While this may seem strict, we’re just passing on the charges we incur from our cleaning team when they have to wait for you to depart before they can begin cleaning (they are very prompt).

Marathon weekend
This house was a perfect rest station for my wifes marathon run, before and after. She ran in the "Honoring Our Heroes Marathon" from Salem to Rolla. The house was a quaint and quiet hideaway, not far from local bars and eatery's.

Rolla Weekend Getaway
We stayed for a long weekend and wanted to be closer to some of the state parks in the area. The location was centralized in Rolla and was convenient to numerous amenities. There are a LOT of restaurants in Rolla, and this property was less than two miles from just about every one we looked for and went to. The property owner did a nice job fixing the place up and maximizing the space. It's small, but we had plenty of room for the two of us. It is in an older neighborhood, but it seemed pretty nice and safe to us. I would recommend this property to others.

Clean, Cozy, and Close to MO S&T!
We appreciated the cleanliness and the amenities of Tessa's Mona Lisa House. For showering, the water pressure was great and the water hot--better than at some of the Rolla hotels! The bungalow is in a convenient location, close to S&T and to Price Chopper--only 5 minutes away. The check-in process is extremely easy, and there were no keys to have to worry about (but one IS available if you prefer that over the keypad entry). What I especially appreciated was Tessa's FAST response to messages I sent and attention to a specific query I had during our visit. You will feel very welcomed (IMO) when you arrive and will enjoy reading Tessa's story behind this house as well as stories of other sojourners passing through. We will definitely stay here again if the daily price remains reasonably priced as it is now. Many thanks to Tessa and family!

Very cutely decorated, smaller house. Perfect for a quick visit to our son who attends S&T. More space and with a full kitchen than a hotel, for the same price. Neighborhood appeared to have students living in many of the houses, but it was quiet. Would stay again!

It was fine. Pots and pans were not really clean. I had to go to the store for scrubbers to clean them. I also think a mirror and small vanity in at least 1 bedroom since there is only 1 bathroom.
