Sunrise Cove is a cozy cabin located within sight of Higgins lake & state land

Sunrise Cove is a year-round cozy cabin rental near Higgins Lake & ORV trails
The cabin is a semi-secluded ranch style home only minutes to the much sought-after Higgins Lake.
The cabin includes all linens, paper products (tt paper, towels) pot & pans, basic soaps, shampoo, & basic spices are included along with coffee/creamer. Outside (summer months) offers a BBQ grill, picnic table, fire pit, outdoor chairs, porch bench & large driveway. We also offer wifi with a 50" smart tv that you can access Netflix or your other streaming accounts. Sunrise Cove is conveniently located near hiking & snowmobiling trails. fishing, canoeing, cross-country skiing, local restaurants, stores, gas & much more.
Bring your toys & launch at the South State park or rent any number of items locally.

A couple house rules:
All guests must be accounted for in reservation
No smoking of any kind inside or near open windows
Dispose of butts in trash
Dog owners must: pick up feces outside, have dog leashed while outside & keep pet off furniture or an extra cleaning charge upwards of $250 can be charged
Additional $50 cleaning fee for 1 dog per stay.
Don’t leave garbage scattered outside
Respect quiet hours 11p.m.-7a.m. (owners live adjacent to property)
Don’t leave fire in pit unattended & distinguish before retiring for the night
Adjacent garage & property is not included in rental
No tenting, campers or rv’s
No hole digging, save it for the beach
No hunting on property or fish cleaning in the house
Only use bath towels for bathing at house
Additional fee will be charged if bed linens are used from bedroom drawers unauthorized

Our group was in Roscommon for Cross-Country Ski Headquarter’s “Bavarian Festival”. This cabin was the perfect cozy place to return to each night! It had everything we needed and was very conveniently located!

Very well decorated and provisioned. We enjoyed just hanging out inside the cabin on a rainy weekend. But we also got beach and canoe time and day tripped to Mackinac Island. We will be back again!

I really enjoyed my stay at Sunrise Cove. The cottage was immaculately clean, very well stocked and nicely decorated. The location was ideal for me (I have friends who live a short distance away) but even without that shopping, the state park and coffee shop are all a short distance away. It was very peaceful and quiet. The only thing that could have been better was the weather but that’s Michigan! Will be planning my next stay soon.

Cute, cozy, and comfortable place to stay. All the necessities you need are provided. It brought back memories of spending time in my grand parents cabin and the host, Tracy is responsive and you can tell she takes pride in her cute place. We will definitely be back.

Cabin in the woods at Higgins Lake
We had a great time at this clean and cozy cabin in the woods! The cabin looked even better in person than in the pictures, and we had it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had fun getting ice cream at one of the many close spots, and spent the day at South Higgins Lake State Park which was a quick drive away. The lot the cabin is on is large, providing plenty of space for kids to play, have a picnic and campfire. The property owner was very accessible, quick to respond and very friendly :) Thanks for a great stay!

Beat the heat!
The reason for our stay was to get out of the heat in Florida! We used to have a place at Higgins Lake until 3 years ago. We always enjoyed it here. It's a different pace of life compared to downstate and Florida. More relaxing. We miss that. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. They made sure it was equipped with everything you would need. Very clean and neat. It definitely gives you that "Up North" feel.

Quaint log cabin on a hill in the woods across the road on the southwest side of Higgins Lake where you are able to see the lake from the cabin bedroom. Plenty of room for a quiet family vacation to include the pets, and only a short drive from South Higgins Lake State Park or a bit longer to North Higgins Lake State Park.

My grandparents had a cabin at Higgins lake the entire time I was growing up. The interior of this cabin really takes me back. Absolutely perfect. Recommend the stay.

Perfect little cabin
My husband and I stayed with our 17 and 7 year old for 3 nights. The cabin was cute and clean and had so many helpful little extras that we didn't expect. It's tucked back into the trees so you feel like you have your own space.We had a wonderful time swimming and playing at both South and North Higgins Lake State parks. Marl Lake Trails also has some great hiking that we all enjoyed, I think our pug Penny also had a great time. The hospitality was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Comfortable Cabin
Great stay with lots of ammenities included. Quiet and in a nature setting. Weather did not cooperate intially for outdoor activities but we were able to do some nice kayaking on Higgins Lake the last day.
