Petit Nivelle est une ferme restaurée avec amour située au milieu des vignobles du sud-ouest de la France. La maison a été restaurée avec bienveillance à un niveau élevé. La maison se compose de trois chambres doubles, une avec un lit super king size, lit bébé si nécessaire, salle de bain en suite, douche à l'italienne et WC, une avec deux lits simples, douche à l'italienne en suite et WC et la troisième chambre a une lit king size et canapé-lit avec salle de bains attenante, douche à l'italienne et WC. Le beau salon ouvert, la salle à manger et la cuisine sont spacieux et s'ouvrent sur un patio menant à un vaste jardin. La cuisine est équipée d'une cuisinière, d'un four micro-ondes, d'un lave-vaisselle, d'un réfrigérateur-congélateur et de tout l'équipement de cuisine, ce qui en fait une cuisine de rêve pour tous ceux qui aiment cuisiner. Attenant à la cuisine, une buanderie avec lave-linge et sèche-linge. Meubles de jardin, chaises longues, aire de jeux pour enfants et barbecue sont tous disponibles. Tous les draps et serviettes sont fournis.
Lors de votre séjour dans ce gîte rural, vous ne serez qu'à quelques minutes de Les Jardins de Sardy. Un parc aquatique est disponible.

Quelle belle semaine nous avons passée dans cette maison très agréable, extrêmement confortable, aménagée et décorée avec goût ! Beaucoup de facilités pour de très jeunes enfants, notamment le tracteur presque grandeur nature ! Les vignobles nous entourent, c'est simple et magnifique ! L'accueil d'Evelyn et de son mari a contribué à la réussite de ces vacances. Un très sincère merci à eux ! What a lovely week we spent in this very nice house, extremely comfortable, furnished and tastefully decorated ! Many facilities for very young children, including the tractor almost life size ! The vineyards surround us, it's simple and beautiful ! The reception of Evelyn and her husband contributed to the success of this holiday. A very sincere thanks to them !

Petit Nivelle, countryside paradise!
The six of us had a wonderful stay at Petit Nivelle. The farmhouse was charming and inviting. We enjoyed cozy fires in the fireplace on chilly mornings and evenings. The kitchen is amazing, well-stocked with utensils and pots and pans. We visited all the surrounding markets, many beautiful and historical sites along the Dordogne, Saint-Émilion as well. Bob and Evelyn next door, could not have been more helpful, hospitable and pleasant - all are memories that will never be forgotten. Thank you for allowing us to share in your wonderful property.

Zalig vakantiehuis als je van rust houdt. De eigenaars zijn supervriendelijk, en respecteren enorm je privacy. De keuken is fantastisch uitgerust, als je graag kookt, kan je hier je gang gaan!

What a delightful place to stay
I can honestly say that petit Nivelle is the most comfortable and well equipped Gite we have ever stayed in the views were stunning and location was superb!! Beautiful property in a magical setting
We spent a wonderful week at Petit Neville. The property is in a gorgeous setting, with beautifully maintained gardens and several lovely outdoor sitting and eating areas’, including our favourite one located under a canopy of grape vines with views of the surrounding vineyards. We enjoyed afternoons cooling off by the pool and evenings cooking up local ingredients found while exploring the many nearby markets . It was a magical holiday and many thanks to Evelyn and Bob for sharing their local knowledge and making us feel so welcome!

Lovely peaceful location
We spent a great 2 weeks at Petite Nivelle, the house is very well equipped with everything you could need. Well situated for the Bordeaux wine region and for west Dordogne. Bob and Evelyn next door who look after the property were lovely and were there if we had any questions. I would highly recommend it, we have visited France many times, and stayed in various gites/houses, and this was the best.

Beautiful home set in a tranquil rural setting, near picturesque towns and villages .
Beautiful home set amongst the rolling vineyards near the Dordogne Valley. The home is well built with modern conveniences but true to its rural setting and origins. The home has a large modern kitchen area, seating areas, bedrooms and outdoor patios. The hosts were helpful and could not have been more accommodating - Evelyn also makes the most delicious shortbread cookies. The location is convenient to several picturesque villages and a short drive to larger centres. Perfect for couples or a family with ample space and privacy for all. We hope to return one day and enjoy a longer stay.

What a wonderful trip!
We visited France for my sister's wedding and Petit Nivelle was the perfect location. I must admit that it wasn't our first choice. We had stumbled upon another gîte in the area but the host cancelled on us with not a lot of time before the big day. I am so grateful that they did because Petit Nivelle was a little gem! Like many people have reviewed before us, the photos seriously don't do it justice. The house has three generously-sized bedrooms, two that are en-suite. We had a toddler and baby with us and had everything we needed to care for and entertain them! The living and kitchen area are very spacious and we'll kitted out with everything you might possibly need and if not, the hosts Bob & Evelyn were always on hand to help in any way possible. We didn't have eggs and milk when we arrived they kindly offered us what they had. Not only was the inside of the house a treat but the views outside the front of the house were a spectacular sight to see in the morning. Rolling hills and a distance vineyard, with the sun rising above it all. Round the back of the house, a small pool and BBQ. The area itself has a relaxed French country vibe with lots of little restaurants nearby. There are some supermarkets within 20mins of the property also. We visited a lovely lakeside beach on Bob & Evelyn's recommendation and had a lovely family day out there. You definitely need a car to get around here though! I could go on and on about what this house has to offer but this would be an essay. What a wonderful week!

All the other positive reviews are accurate. Our family of 3 generations had an enormously enjoyable ten days. The house is delightful and spacious. The outside space is great for relaxing or family fun and games whether in the pool or garden. There is plenty of space for grandparents to find a quiet corner for a snooze when needed! Bob and Evelyn are lovely but unobtrusive hosts. The boys ride on the mower was a highlight for them! It's very peaceful area but there are several small villages restaurants within reasonable driving distance.

Fantastic Holiday
The house is wonderful, very spacious and so well equipped with everything you could conceivably need and so much more. Set within large spacious grounds surrounded by vineyards it offers fantastic panoramic views while providing peace and tranquillity allowing you to unwind and relax. The nearest town is Gensac which is 5 km away so you need a car to get around and there is plenty to see and do in the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to a local vineyard “Grand Mayne” and Kayaking down the Dordogne river which was a real treat. Thank you to Angela for sharing your beautiful house with us but our special thanks goes to Bob and Evelynn. You made us feel so welcome; you were the consummate hosts both informative and helpful enabling us to enjoy our wonderful week at Petit Nivelle. We would highly recommend the property and will be mentioning it to family and friends and would love to return here ourselves one day.

May 2019 Visit to Tour Bordeux region, Bergerac and Dordogne Valley
We were 2 couples who stayed at the property in Saint-Avit-de-Soulège for 6 nights after flying into Bordeaux airport (1 1/2 hour drive to property) from the US . All of our pre-visit communications and directions to the property with Angela were timely and accurate. On site check-in, assistance and orientation from Bob and Evelyn was excellent. The accommodations were better than represented. The kitchen was very well equipped and able to support any of your culinary activities. Bathrooms, showers and bedrooms were modern and comfortable. The out-door grounds are well manicured and beautiful with nice seating areas to enjoy extended views of vineyards and wildlife. The property's setting is very quiet, located off of narrow country roads. This is a rural setting. Grocery stores and gas stations are located within 10 - 15 miles of property. There are several small resturants in the area but we chose to cook in the evenings and not drive these roads in the dark. Property is convenient to Pomeral, St. Emillion, Bergerac, Libourne (45 min.)

Great Views, lovely property.
A family trip for a week visiting relatives, we loved this house. Very spacious, comfortable, and brilliant outside space for energetic children! Evelyn and Bob were lovely, helped out whenever they could. Thoroughly recommend a week in this fab house.

Fabulous accommodation in a stunning location
A wonderful welcome from Evelyn and Bob after a long journey. The house was everything we expected and more, every possible need had been catered for. The weather was extremely hot upon our arrival and through the first week, and fans had been placed around the house in an effort to keep us cool. Our grandson loved the pool, and Evelyn and Bob reinflated his pool toys every morning for him. The house is stunningly placed in open countryside, but close enough to local towns/villages which offered differing amenities. All in all, a fantastic place to unwind and recharge the batteries.

Beautiful house in a stunning location - everything perfect!
So much love and attention to detail has gone into this house! - Bob and Evelyn were so welcoming and had ensured that the house and surrounding gardens were absolutely perfect. Our favourite thing to do is to visit the local food markets and prepare meals with locally sourced produce - this was an absolute pleasure here as the kitchen was so well equipped - it was obvious that Evelyn was a talented chef who knew the importance of well thought out kitchen! We loved eating on the terrace looking out over the beautiful gardens - so relaxing. The house was beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail - plenty of towels, tea towels, crockery etc as well as comfortable beds. Bob and Evelyn were on hand if we had any queries and had lots of information about the local area - recommending restaurants etc. Absolutely wonderful - we hope to visit again very soon - thank you for a very special holiday.

A wonderful place to relax, feel at home and enjoy the beauty of the Dordogne and Bordeaux
The house was wonderful and what really made the stay great was how welcoming Evelyn and Bob were. The location is great with access to the many beautiful sites the region had to offer. We visited Lascaux II, Domme, Bergerac and a long bike ride through beautiful terrain ... a bit hilly but we all survived it. We took advantage of Evelyn's menu options and enjoyed a wonderful meal at home. Our original plan was to get to Sarlat but after a lazy morning, it was a bit far. We would strongly recommend Petit Nivelle for a family or 3 couples. There was lots of space to get away and for privacy. Our thanks to Angela, Evelyn and Bob

Simply stunning
We've been staying in rental properties across France & Italy every summer now for 8 years and without doubt this was the best. The house is huge and expertly designed and laid out. The pictures don't really do it justice! I love to cook and the kitchen really is a cooks dream with a range cooker, all manner of appliances & equipment, herbs & spices, olive oil etc. all provided. The three bedrooms are all very spacious as are the three bathrooms. Everything has been thought of - games for the whole family, books, a trampoline, 5 bikes, water squirters (our boys loved these!), boules, swings and more. The garden is beautiful and very peaceful with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. Lots of spaces to sit outside both at the front of the property and at the back. All in all, a wonderful space and we would love to pick the house up and take it home with us!!

Quiet and Relaxing in a beautiful location
Excellent property, beautifully restored by Evelyn and Bob. Very well equipped and comfortable. The grandchildren particularly liked the well equipped playhouse and the pool. The view from our bedroom in the morning, lawn then hay meadow (with the occasional deer), vineyards and woods, was a joy. Evelyn and Bob, caretakers next door, were unobtrusive, but friendly and helpful hosts.
