Take a stroll up the street to our charming downtown village, where you'll find a variety of boutique shops, several world-class restaurants, a cozy wine and cheese bar, a local playhouse, a retro candy store, and a farmer's market every Sunday morning.

Alternatively, you can walk down the street to explore the beautiful beaches, the pier, a beach running trail, and seaside parks. If you prefer to stay in the condo, you can enjoy a relaxing day with a gentle ocean breeze and peaceful evenings watching stunning sunsets.

The area near the pier, just a 2-minute walk away, offers everything you might need, including restaurants, convenience stores, great coffee, and delicious treats. You can also catch the free San Clemente hop-on hop-off trolley from here, which will take you up the hill to Avenida Del Mar, where you can enjoy more shops, restaurants, outlet malls, and another farmer's market.

The Neighborhood:
The location is in the San Clemente Pier Bowl, which resembles a charming Spanish-style walking village. Here, you'll find small cafes, an excellent coffee shop, ice cream, a convenience store, and two fantastic restaurants. Additionally, there is a waterfront park and a beach walking trail. During your stay, you could easily get by without using your car at all.

Getting Around:
You can easily walk to almost everything you need or take the free seasonal trolley to reach even further destinations. Here are some highlights:

- Main Beach at the pier: 2-minute walk
- Over 30 different restaurants: 2 to 10 minutes away by foot
- T-Street for boogie boarding and surfing: 5-minute walk down the beach trail

Other Things to Note:
- Please remember that you are staying in a house, not a hotel. We ask that you treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to address them as soon as possible, but please note that no one lives on-site 24/7.

- Strict quiet hours are in effect from 10 PM to 8 AM.

- This condo is part of a fully soundproofed 6-unit building, with all six units owned and operated by us. Five of these units are one-bedroom, and we also have a studio. If you need multiple units, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate you. This is condo #1 of 6.

- We allow up to 2 pets (or 3 if they are all small) with prior approval. Most breeds are acceptable as long as they are quiet and well-trained. Our pet fee is $20 per night per pet. We have a small "dog park" on-site, and San Clemente is a pet-friendly area!

- The unit is limited to a maximum of 4 guests. For each additional guest beyond three, there will be a charge of $25 per person per night.

**Unit Privacy:**
- There are security cameras in the outside common areas only (none inside the units).
- We have decibel sound meters in the kitchen and balcony areas of our condos to monitor any violations of our quiet hours. These devices do not record or listen in any way; they only measure the overall noise level (Noise Away Brand).

Great location to be near the beach
It was quick 2 night visit, which made the penthouse perfect. Checkin procedures were very quick and easy. The owners communicated all the information we needed. The condo was only a couple blocks from the beach. It was great having dedicated parking because that can be a problem in that area. Condo had all the amenities you could want.

Superb condo
From parking to sleeping…. A wonderful place. When we had inquires the response was quick and simple. Peter, Cathy and Taylor were all very nice and quickly responded to our needs. Close to beach, pier, walking, shops and restaurants. Will stay again. The condo was well kept and tidy, with everything a person needs… even bathroom extras!

We felt like we checked into our own home. Kitchen was fully stocked with nice pots/pans and small appliances. The grill was clean and ready to go. Communication was almost daily giving us tips about local attractions and they promptly answered all of my questions. The outdoor shower with warm water was an added bonus at the end of the beach day! Bikes, helmuts, fire ring, coolers, wagons and fluffy beach towels were available also. We will be back when we visit our son again. Hopefully sooner than later!

Quick overnight stay
We decided to stay here last minute for our 7th anniversary. The catch? We just had our first child, so we weren’t planning on going anywhere this year, but then found this beautiful condo an hour from our home!! Right when we checked in we knew we made the right decision. The hosts had set up a a great welcome party for us upon our arrival!! There was a complementary bottle of wine waiting for us on the kitchen counter, music was playing, and windows were open allowing the beach breeze hit us as we stepped in. The condo was extremely clean and has great modern amenities, including a heated toilet seat and dimmable lights throughout the property. The location is excellent with only a short two minute walk to the San Clemente pier and beach. We took advantage of happy hour at the delicious restaurant in the pier, and had coffee upon our checkout at the trendy coffee shop across from the pier. Directions for checkout were listed on the fridge which made leaving the property simple and without worry. We definitely plan on returning soon for a much longer stay!! Book now and you won’t regret it!!

Quick getaway
My husband and I love San Clemente. We come down on occasion to visit friends. This trip was focused on our puppy Sienna and getting her acclimated with our dog watcher/good friend. The condo was great! Loved the location, vibe, accessibility to beach, shops and restaurants. We were able to work from the unit and enjoy a bit of night life. And the evening sunset views from the balcony…wow! Oh, and we were greeted with a nice bottle of wine in the unit. It was a great experience!

The property was very much as described. It was perfect for 3 adults. The Murphy Bed is so comfortable, which was a surprise. The location is perfect, and having an assigned parking space is huge given how difficult it is to get parking in the area. My family says we should come back!

First Class Experience in San Clemente!
Absolutely stunning view of the ocean from the living room, the level of service was unbeatable, and it was a very short walk to the beach. This penthouse was actually better than the photos. It was equipped with every possible amenity, including all the gear you need for the beach, and on-site outside showers for after the beach. Our host Cathy was very responsive. She could not have been any better! This will be our first choice for accommodations when we return to San Clemente!

Clean condo
Rented this condo for 2 nights for a quick weekend trip, condo was clean, well organized, and very accomodating. The location is the main selling point since its a quick walk to the beach. balcony is nice since you can see the ocean clearly. price is not cheap but you pay for the great location, view, parking, and cleanliness.

Beautiful condo with an amazing view!
We were greeted by music and a bottle of wine with an incredible sunset view from the balcony when we arrived. The hosts have thought of everything. The beds are very comfortable. The condo is steps away from the pier and several great restaurants but not so close that it feels busy or noisy. We will be back!

Great location for beach fun with everything we needed close by. Lots of food options near the condo and a short walk downtown. The condo was very clean. Me, my 19 year old daughter and 15 year old son thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day and 5 night stay at Casa Capistrano! Cathy and Peter were great hosts! Communicated efficiently and thoroughly. The condo was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our time in the condo and at the nearby beaches. We greatly appreciated having all the beach supplies available to use, umbrellas, beach chairs, boogy boards and more! The outdoor showers were fully stocked with shampoo and soap and towels...so nice! We loved having a designated parking spot at the condo as parking is very limited in that part of the town. The condo did have air conditioning which ended up being very nice to have as the days we were there did get warmer than usual. Even without AC, the condo did cool down very well with the screen doors open. I especially appreciated how quiet the condo was at night while sleeping. The San Clemente town was so quaint! Full of fun during the day and calm, and quiet at night. I loved that I didn't have to drive anywhere once we arrived at the condo. Everything we could need was in walking distance. I will definitely return and will stay in this same property in the future! Thank you, Cathy and Peter!
