This is one of the best locations in San Diego we are within walking distance to the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and many other attractions this city has to offer. Our home has been completely updated and made comfortable for groups up to 6 people. We love being a part of our wonderful AirBnB community and welcome all outstanding members from all different backgrounds. Hillcrest is a neighborhood in San Diego located northwest of Balboa Park. It is an accepting urban village with a small town feel. Hillcrest is known for its tolerance, diversity and locally-owned businesses including eclectic restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs and boutique shopping. It is also known for its salons and spas, medical offices, two major hospitals and the largest concentration of LGBTQ+ owned businesses in the city.

Balboa Park is a cultural oasis that includes 17 museums, gardens galore and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. At 1,200 acres, Balboa Park is one of North America’s most iconic urban parks and a must see on any visit to San Diego

Being in the heart of the city, Balboa Park and Hillcrest are accessible by a number of major streets. Additionally, Hillcrest is among the most walkable neighborhoods in San Diego with a neighborhood Walk Score of 87. Rideshare is easily accessible. Many Bird scooters and bikes nearby.

Pet friendly, $99 per stay!
No smoking, loud music or parties. We do accept pets but it is important to pickup after them on a daily basis. Also, there will be an additional one time charge of $99 for pet cleaning.

Great location
My family had a great time visiting the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park which was so close to this home. We could easily take a zoo break and eat lunch at home, picking up food from a selection of so many nearby restaurants. Grocery shopping was also easy with several local choices within 10 minutes. Host was quick to respond to questions and provided helpful snacks and drinks for when we didn’t have time the first night to shop yet.

lovely small apartment in quiet neighborhood close to hillcrest and zoo
we had a great time staying here. it's a quiet neighborhood and in walking distance of coffee shops, grocery stores and restaurants. the zoo and park are nearby. the stairs are steep and the screen door opens towards them which requires you to take care so as not to fall. beds are comfortable and.couch is comfy for sleeping

Great stay!
Clean property, great location for Balboa Park/Zoo, super convenient parking, easy check in, safe and quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurant options. Some furniture swapped out from the listing photos.. hosts are free to do that and I think there is even a disclaimer about it so that isn’t a complaint, just awareness. Host was very attentive! Overall great stay!

Loved the supply of coffee and snacks. Kitchen has good quality cookware, need one or two serving bowls or a mixing bowl. Bed’s comfortable. We enjoyed the upstairs patio for morning coffee and watching squirrels and birds. Overall great place.

Highly Recommend
Great location near Balboa park with easy access from the highway to surrounding attractions! Communication was great and check in/out were really smooth. Listing was as described with some normal wear not captured in the pictures but nothing to prevent us from renting again. Having a designated parking spot was great especially with traveling with smaller kids!

Well situated to get to all the San Diego attractions with grocery & restaurants within walking distance. Host was responsive to inquires & easy to work with. Little snacks, coffee, & water were a real treat. Do becareful with steamy showers because smoke detector is just outside the bathroom. The beds were comfy and there were extra blankets. Kitchen seemed well stocked although I did not cook. Laundry pods were provided so that was very helpful. The only suggestion I have would be to send the check out email the day before. We checked out before receiving the email so missed a few of the host requests but he was very understanding. Would stay again.

Great place
Spent a few nights here with my sister and friend. The house was very clean and appliances looked new. I appreciated having a washer and dryer in the unit. Check in was easy and the host is responsive. The house is in a great location, the street is quite and it is a quick walk to restaurants and bars in the Hillcrest neighborhood and to Balboa park. It was also close to freeways. Overall, a great spot to stay in.

Great location, near all of the attractions. Safe neighborhood and easy parking, we would stay here again. The place could use a touch up for paint scuffs, and worn furniture, but overall was a great place to stay.

Beautiful little apartment in a gem of a location
My friend and I had a wonderful time staying at the “Canyon View” Vrbo. Efran was a good host and took care of any needs that came, there weren’t many fortunately. The place was cozy, clean, had stackable washer and dryer, and all the amenities. What was real nice was that the rental was a two bedroom separated by the bathroom. Hillcrrst still has its charm that’s for sure. We will definitely be back.
