Newly remodeled cabin near DeSoto State Park and Historic Downtown Mentone

This gorgeous cabin, nestled on the mountainside, was originally built using timbers from a 100 year old cotton mill reclaimed from a nearby town. It is Non-Smoking, Pet Free and located minutes from DeSoto State Park Country Store and about 5 miles from downtown Mentone. Be among the tree tops as you enjoy a soak in the sparkling hot tub. (The hot tub is drained, cleaned and refilled with new water after each guest.) The kitchen and bathroom have been beautifully remodeled while maintaining much of the original cabinetry. Enjoy cooking in a fully equipped kitchen with sleek new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Begin your day in a custom walk-in shower with natural slate tiles and river rock, a rain shower head, and frameless glass shower door surround. Cozy up next to a fire in the fire pit and admire the stars. Enjoy hiking, sightseeing, and exploring in nearby Historic Mentone, DeSoto State Park, DeSoto Falls, and Little River Canyon. Take in a round of golf at Cloudmont Ski & Golf Resort or go horseback riding through the trails in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. This area has so much to offer. Birthday getaway
This cabin is perfect for a couples getaway. Remodeled, cozy and so well decorated. Christmas decor was a festive added touch that helped us celebrate in this season as well. The property is very well maintained, clean, and quiet. Very close to the original entrance to Desoto State park. We had a great hike to Lost Falls and Laurel falls and did not see another human. With the leaves down you can see the sunset from the hot tub on the porch. Great weekend, and excellent rental. Nathan was prompt and very kind to check in. Would rent again.

Great cozy cabin for 2. Cabin is very new, clean and kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Great hot tub! Bathroom is really nice. Bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. 5/5 rating, will stay here again. Couldn’t ask for anything else!

Perfect fall weekend
This cabin is beautiful and well equipped with everything needed for a more than comfortable stay. Communication with the owner was excellent! We hiked to the bottom of Desoto falls and enjoyed dinner at the Wildflower Cafe on Saturday evening (with reservations). The market was great for lunch and we picked up grab and go salads for later. The evenings were cool so the outdoor fire and the hot tub were a welcoming treat! I look forward to a repeat of the weekend soon and I wouldn’t change anything!

The cabin is well stocked with everything you could need or want. It’s close to DeSoto and Mentone. The host is super knowledgeable about the area and responsive to any text messages. Bed is great… AC/Heater is great… hot tub is perfection…. I will definitely stay here again.

Cabin was perfect for a last minute weekend getaway with my husband. Cabin was small but all spaces were utilized well, and had a homey/cozy feel. We were pleasantly surprised by the modern kitchen and bathroom updates. Host provided helpful communications prior to and during our stay. We would stay there again, if we are in the area.

12th Anniversary Trip
We have been to Mentone/Desoto a good bit over the years, but this was the first time in several, and it was the BEST! We were wanting a quiet, romantic getaway and this cabin was PERFECT!! To start, the owner reached out in advance to answer any questions and to give notice of what to expect. He even gave us a slew of recommendations for food and activities, which ended up being GREAT! When we first arrived to the cabin, we were took back by the design and decor, it was as if everything was set in place, waiting for us for our fairytale weekend! The cabin was in a pretty secluded area with lots of privacy, which was perfect for the hot tub! I cannot compliment the place enough! So clean and comfortable! Will definitely be recommending!!

Lovely Cabin
We enjoyed our time together this past weekend! The cabin was beautiful and decorated perfectly! Crate and Barrel dishes and Cruisinart coffee maker…tasteful to say the least. It’s secluded, peaceful, yet safe. We loved the hot tub and the rain shower-head in the glass shower! Nathan sent all the information needed from restaurant recommendations to sightseeing ideas. Next time, we’re bringing in groceries, cooking on the gas range and just enjoy the relaxation!
