Welcome home!

The location is PERFECT!
Tucked away off a gravel road, we are right off the main road making the drive to the cabin an easy one! We are down a private gravel road but there are no treacherous mountains to climb. We feel secluded but are only 3 minutes from the main road that has grocery stores, food choices and shopping. We are 11 minutes from the convention center, 20 to Dollywood, 2 minutes to Sevierville’s newest water park, Soaky Mountain, 15 minutes to Pigeon Forge ,30 to Gatlinburg and a short trip to Douglas Lake! Most importantly there is a Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts within 5 minutes from the cabin! Must have that coffee for the rocking chairs in the morning!

Our interior is thoughtfully decorated in rustic decor. There are 4 bedrooms (two king, one queen and 2 twin) 2 bathrooms and a living room with new furniture.
We have a full sized washer and dryer with laundry detergent provided for your convenience.
The dine in kitchen has all new stainless appliances and we have provided all the comforts of home that you may need for cooking or baking. We have a brand new coffee making with both full pot and pods. There is salt, pepper, sugar, tea, creamer and cooking oil already stocked.
The outdoor space is my favorite place to be.
Pick a rocking chair on the large deck for a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring or the perfect spot for morning coffee.
We have a six person hot tub that is drained and cleaned after each stay.
Enjoy a sunset dinner on our outdoor 8 foot farm table after cooking up a good meal with the gas grill. After dinner pick a seat around the fire pit to toast up some s’mores for desert! Please be aware that if there is a burn ban in the county this amenity will not be available. ) We provide a starter of firewood for convenience.
Swing on the porch swing while taking in the picturesque sunset. It’s my favorite spot!
We are family friendly and everything you need for your vacation is readily available. There are board games, a whiskey barrel gaming console with 60 vintage games, Lincoln logs for building, a ping pong table and swings from the trees!
For a farm to table experience you may collect the chicken eggs from our “Golden Girls” and keep them for your own. They are delicious! We also expect our guests to be on chicken duty as part of the experience. Do not worry, no cleaning the coop, just keeping them full with feed and water! Feel free to treat them to raw vegetables or share your popcorn! They love snacks!
We will welcome well trained dogs as long as they are on current flea meds, crated when not attended to and not allowed on the furniture.

We pride ourselves on customer service and communication to make sure your stay will be smooth from check in to check out!

Fall Break
We went to TN for a long weekend and absolutely loved this cabin. It was very private and you can watch the cows from the front porch, but drive to all the action in a couple of minutes. There is also a wonderful dog park 2 miles away that we visited daily. We highly recommend and will be back.

Thanksgiving away from home!
We had a wonderful stay! The weather was fantastic, the house was spacious enough for 5 adults and 2 children. Everyone enjoyed the barrel video game and other games available. The swing outside was great fun for all! Lynn was absolutely wonderful. With a No Burn in effect, she graciously had a s'mores machine delivered to the house for us to use! She was very kind. My mom passed away this year so this was our first holiday and we decided to change things up with the trip. So glad we did!

Amazing Stay
Can not say enough good things about our stay. Perfect spot for a much needed getaway. Communication was amazing with host!! Went above and beyond to help make sure we had a great stay. Family stay for wedding in Strawberry Plains
Sweet lil farmhouse tucked away from the crowd but still close to town. Only 30 mins from Knoxville and Strawberry Plains. Home was clean and very cozy/comfortable. Golden girls were so sweet and they liked the petting and treats from my grandson. We Loved it!

Best of Both Worlds
The house was such a hidden gem! It's tucked away in a quiet secluded place, but right next to everything you'd need. We loved not being stuck in the middle of the busy touristy areas, but having easy access to Smoky Mountain National Park or anything else. There was plenty of space for all of us and the porch was fantastic! We enjoyed spending time at the house playing games or treating the chickens to some veggie snacks and just being able to relax. Lynne was very responsive and kind as well. I'd absolutely recommend staying here and would stay again myself.

Our family enjoyed this quiet retreat after spending the days having fun with all that the Smoky Mountains offers! It was a treat to take care of the chickens and get to eat the delicious eggs. Charming Farmhouse with Amazing Location
My family and I had such an amazing time staying at Big Red's Retreat! The porch was so relaxing and quickly became a favorite spot to sit out and enjoy nature. It's set back in such a beautiful area it is hard to believe that its so close to all the action. This property really is the perfect Location!!!! We really loved that this house had chickens, I secretly wished we could have brought the Golden Girls home with us! Now I'm dreaming of our future home that we can get our own some day. The owners were so nice and friendly and made sure our stay was going well. We are already trying to plan our next stay here. My children loved everything about the house and I loved seeing them genuinely enjoying themselves without much desire for screen time. Every morning they would all get excited to go out and feed the chickens and look to see how many eggs they had left for us! It may not be the biggest fanciest house you could pick to stay in, but it quickly became our favorite house we have stayed at in the area. This house has so much charm, I highly recommend staying at Big Red's Retreat!

The house has everything you need to enjoy both indoors and out, but I would say the experience and privacy you get being outdoors we’re the biggest draws. The chix were so adorable and generous to us, my son loved visiting with them and collecting the eggs. The wrap-around porch was awesome! Location is great too. Hosts were very responsive and in tune with their home. My family had a great time and enjoyed their stay.

Met friends and family for a wedding. Also brought a medium sized pup. The stay was wonderful. Especially enjoyed the porch swing, hot tub, and chickens. Would be happy to stay again. Road entrance is slightly hidden and we initially missed it but GPS was correct and it really was there. Felt like miles from town but close to everything.

This was a great property. We LOVED it!!!!
We had a great time staying at this location and will certainly rent this property again for future family get togethers. Loved the neighboring cows strolling down the road and the chickens were super friendly. The property was extremely clean and had every we needed for the time we were there. The owners were very courteous and informed us well in advance of very minor issues that were going on. These issues had no impact on the using the home, but the owners wanted to make sure we were OK with them. By now, those issues have been resolved.....and they did not take away for our stay at all.

Beautiful location not far from fun!
We had an amazing time staying here! The owners communicated with us so easily and quickly! The kids enjoyed the hot tub and we all loved how close it is to Pigeon Forge and to the interstate! We would definitely love to go back again!

Great place to relax
We enjoyed our stay plenty of room. It rained and was very cold outside, but we stayed warm and comfortable inside. Would love to come back in the spring or fall it would be a gorgeous setting. They have a wrap around porch with rocking chairs and picnic table to sit out and enjoy the scenery.
