WELCOME TO YOUR STAY AWAY...

Shrewsbury is brimming with quirky charm, and No.4, a townhouse, is bang smack in the heart of it all. Shrewsbury is a town where half-timbered medieval buildings line narrow alleyways, and hidden gems await around every corner. The mix of independent shops, vintage boutiques, and local art galleries adds to its eclectic character.

For food lovers, Shrewsbury punches well above its weight. Whether you’re after fine dining, independent cafés, or a vibrant pub scene, the town has something for every palate.

5-minutes walk from No.4, you'll find Shrewsbury Market Hall, a multi-award winning market. This bustling market is a haven for foodies, crafters, and anyone who loves to explore local produce and artisanal creations. It’s one of the best markets in the UK and perfect for discovering fresh, seasonal foods.

7-minutes walk from No.4 is The Quarry, a stunning 29-acre riverside park that’s the heart of Shrewsbury’s green spaces. It’s home to the iconic Dingle Garden, designed by renowned gardener Percy Thrower, and hosts summer festivals, concerts, and events.

10-minutes walk is the Theatre Severn, home to a whole host of shows throughout the year.

STEP INSIDE No.4 ...

Step into the spacious lounge, where a cozy, cottage-style ambiance welcomes you. The lounge features a comfortable living area with a sofa and seating, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. For entertainment, you’ll find a flat-screen smart TV, a selection of board games, and DVDs for cozy nights in, should this be what you crave. The charming electric fireplace adds warmth and character, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxing evenings.

The living room also doubles as a functional space, with a dining table that seats four where you can enjoy home-cooked meals, or indulge in one of the many tasty takeaways in close reach. Need extra sleeping arrangements? The room includes a fold-out sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two, making it ideal for families or small groups.

THE HEART OF THE HOME IS THE KITCHEN...

From the living room, step into the well-equipped kitchen, thoughtfully designed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Whether you're preparing a quick snack or a full meal, this kitchen has you covered with modern appliances including a fridge, oven, and stove. There's also a washing machine, offering added convenience for longer stays. The space is functional and practical, making meal preparation a breeze.

This charming home also includes a very small courtyard, accessible via the kitchen. It's a perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee or evening drink, although with all that Shrewsbury has to offer, we can't imagine you'll use this much. The small courtyard is furnished with a table and chairs that seat two guests.

HEAD ON UPSTAIRS....

Access to the upstairs area is via a charming staircase located just off of the kitchen. As you ascend, you'll reach a cozy landing area that serves as the gateway to the rest of the home. From here, you can access the two inviting bedrooms and the bathroom, all thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and relaxation.

THE MASTER...

The spacious master bedroom is a true retreat, showcasing the home’s historic charm with its exposed brickwork and wooden beams. The centerpiece of the room is the luxurious king-sized bed, promising a comfortable and restful night's sleep. For added convenience, the room also features a smart TV, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring Shrewsbury. This inviting space combines character and comfort, and feature a railing for clothes, and a chest of drawers.

ADDITIONAL GUESTS & CHILDREN...

The second bedroom is furnished with two comfortable single beds, making it perfect for friends, children, or additional guests. For convenience, the room includes drawers for storage and a wardrobe area complete with a full-length mirror, providing ample space to store your belongings and get ready for the day.

FRESHEN UP....

The bathroom features a convenient over-bath shower with good water pressure and heat. Clean and well-maintained, this space provides everything you need for a relaxing start or end to your day, but don't hang here long - the nearby sites and tastes await you!

PARKING & ACCESS...

For those driving, a free parking space is available just behind the property, only a 1-minute walk from the front door. PLEASE NOTE that parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, and the space CANNOT be reserved. Should a parking space not be available, there is short-stay 'pay & display' parking opposite The Loopy Shrew, just a 5 minute walk from No.4, and conveniently a brilliant pit stop for a cocktail or two, or a bite to eat if that's more your bag. For longer stays, there is a 'pay on exit' multi-story car park 10-15mins walk away.

EXPLORE OUR BEAUTIFUL TOWN...

Shrewsbury Castle: A red sandstone castle from the 11th century, which now houses the Shropshire Regimental Museum. It offers panoramic views of the town and the River Severn.

Shrewsbury Abbey: Founded in 1083, it’s a stunning example of Norman architecture and the home of Ellis Peters’ fictional monk detective, Brother Cadfael.

Darwin’s Birthplace: Shrewsbury is the birthplace of Charles Darwin. You can explore his legacy throughout the town, including a statue outside the library.

Medieval Streets: Wander through Grope Lane or Bear Steps, ancient streets that evoke a sense of what Shrewsbury would have been like in the Middle Ages.

The town is cradled by the River Severn, which loops around it almost entirely, giving Shrewsbury its distinct “looped” character. Meandering river views, quaint bridges, and lush riverside walks make it a picturesque spot full of charm.
