As we relax a little bit now over Covid 19 we have changed book in to 4pm and check out to 10am. As always we will message you as soon as the property is ready on your check in day.

'The Milking Parlour' was converted in 2008. It is just 2 miles from the popular harbour town of St Ives, but peacefully located high near the dramatic north Cornwall coast and ideal for exploring the rugged cliffs and country of this beautiful area. The property has slate floors throughout, with underfloor heating powered by geothermal energy from our own boreholes. In addition infrared panels have been fitted to the ceiling in the living room in case you need an extra burst of heat. Also, solar panels make the most of the sunlight to make this a very energy efficient property.
The property has two bedrooms, (one with king size bed, and en suite wet room; the second with twin beds,) family bathroom, kitchen/diner, and large living room with wood burning stove, and a 'hideaway' double bed.
Outside to one side of the property is an enclosed courtyard area, while on the other side there is a garden and large raised patio area with a panoramic view down to the sea - the ideal place to enjoy a barbecue and watch the sun set. there is parking for 3 or more cars.


Bookings: Usually Saturday to Saturday in the main part of the summer, but in early or late season shorter stays are possible. Check out the calendar to see what's available, or send us an enquiry, we are always happy to try and accommodate your holiday.

Perfect!
So pleased I found this property, it was perfect for our NYE break. Local to where we live we get a lot of fireworks & our dogs were able to relax with no noise of fireworks here, it feels really remote, but it’s only a few miles to local shops. We travelled into St Ives & Marazion & St Michael’s Mount just a short drive away, during our stay.The property is very secure, we could let the dogs out in the courtyard knowing they couldn’t escape. The kitchen is well equipped, like a home from home & the living room is a lovely comfortable place to relax. We really enjoyed our short stay here, just perfect for our old dog.

Amazing cottage.
We stayed here about a year ago and loved it so much we returned and brought family. They also thought it was one of the nicest cottages they had ever stayed in. It’s so well designed and stocked like an actual home. We love the fact you can walk your dogs in rural tranquility or walk to St Ives if you fancy a beautiful day at the coast. A fantastic gem of a place, will definitely return. Thank you.

Klare Weiterempfehlung
Es gibt zwei Außenbereiche, die beide (zumindest bei trockenem Wetter) zum Verweilen einladen. Insbesondere der weite Blick ins Grüne und auf das Meer sind wunderschön. Das Haus ist gut mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht - auch in der Küche. Bei Nässe und kaltem Wetter kann man sehr gut nach Innen ausweichen und es sich zum Beispiel vor dem Kamin gemütlich machen. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön und bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Wanderausflüge - man sollte aber unbedingt mit dem Auto anreisen. Wir hatten eine kleine Reklamation die von der Vermieterin Sarah sehr offen und schnell beantwortet wurde. Auch dafür nochmals vielen Dank! Gerne wieder!

Wir hatten einen schönen und erholsamen Aufenthalt in diesem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ferienhaus. Sogar Tee, Kaffee, Kekse und Chips waren als Gastgeschenk vorhanden. Sehr bequeme Betten und eine gemütliche Sitzecke. Ein Auto ist unbedingt erforderlich um die vielen Hotdpots in der Gegend zu erkunden

Magical retreat in the country
Can't begin to say enough good things about this extraordinary home away from home. The place is tucked away on a quiet hillside just far enough from the insanity that is St. Ives in the summer, with a view out to the sea from the upper terrace, yet within easy driving distance of shopping and all the important sights. Spotless, comfortable, beautiful and stylish, everything you could possibly need. Highest possible recommendation.

Amazing Place, Amazing Location!
This place was even better than the pictures. Bigger, more space, newer amenities and everything we needed. The little lane it was down was beautiful. The neighbors were great. Sarah was super responsive and we had amazing time. So close to St. Ives, Penzance and other locales but removed from the center of all the busy areas. If you are ok with little lanes and country sounds and smells...this is the place for you. We'll be back!

A beautiful house
This was certainly the most wonderful stay I have had anywhere! A beautiful house set in the amazing cornish countryside. Very peaceful and quiet, perfect for dogs as well. The property / furnishings are of a very high standard, kitchen was really well equiped (with a lovely welcome basket with cornish goodies) and the house was immaculately clean! We fully recommend this place 10/10.

Das Haus war exakt wie beschrieben, modern und sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Durch den Hinweis der Vermieter wie der Standort im Navigationsgerät zu erfassen ist konnten wir es völlig unproblematisch finden. Das Haus war idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge z.B. nach Lands End, St Ives und Porthcurno wo man tolle Wanderungen unternehmen kann.

Unrivalled value
Arrived to find a property you can only dream of when it comes to value for money. Huge house, all facilities and quiet! We wished we could take it with us around the UK. For up to 4 people or a large family you could not ask for more. You just need your own transport. Thanks Sarah. Chris & Debra.

A wonderful stay in a gorgeous property
Sarah’s communication was brilliant. The property is a in a beautiful rural location. The photos are fab, but don’t do the property justice, it was excellent. The attention to small details like having bed guards, high chairs etc available was brilliant, and the welcome basket of Cornish goodies was a lovely touch. Not ideal sorry.
Nice cottage. The settees were very uncomfortable. Very low to the ground.Being partially disabled my husband drove 9 hrs to home and back on Christmas Day to get me a chair so I could be comfortable. Garden all open so not ideal.. listing states there is a hot tub which we never did find. There was a dvd player which was in the drawer but couldn’t be played.

We stayed for a short break and the Property was perfect for us. A stunning setting with lovely walks close by and a view of the sea in the distance. The property is beautifully decorated and fully equip with everything you need. Very clean throughout and felt like home from home. Would thoroughly recommend.
