Nancy's Folly Villa - Fabulous Home - overlooking dazzling Rendezvous Bay

Nancy’s Folly is located above Rendezvous Bay on the southern shore of St John known for its gentle, continuous breezes. Take in sweeping views of numerous turquoise bays spanning Ram’s Head point on your left to St Croix with its sparkling lights directly in the distance to your right. Situated in a quiet, exclusive neighborhood only 5 minutes to downtown Cruz Bay (2.25 miles), it is lush with bougainvillea and orchids. Nancy’s Folly is the perfect place to relax while enjoying the soothing sounds of the local coqui and lapping waves below.

This beautiful home has two bedrooms (one king and one queen), each with A/C, and two baths. The King Bedroom has sliding doors overlooking the bay and an ensuite bathroom featuring a large stone shower. The Queen Bedroom has a comfortable four poster bed and a large shower in the adjoining full bathroom.

The newly updated breezeway to the entry has only four steps to the pavers surrounded by glorious orchids and an organic herb garden .

The floor plan of Nancy’s Folly is all on one level, so it’s great for all ages! The Great Room and King Bedroom have smart TVs with Firesticks already loaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Peacock/NBC Sports and News, Pandora Music and more. There is free WiFi, indoor and outdoor dining areas, new washer & dryer, hair dryers, beach towels, beach chairs, courtesy snorkel equipment, various coolers and more.

Spacious 18’ deck with outdoor teak dining table and lounge chairs. Great for relaxing after a day of beach exploration. There is a fully stocked kitchen with a gas oven, microwave, convection toaster oven and Drip/Keurig Coffee Maker. The Weber Propane grill on the garden side makes it easy to enjoy the views while dining in-house while the dishwasher makes clean up a breeze. An onsite generator lets you rest assured that there will be electricity at all times.

The house was more than we expected. Beautifully decorated. Fresh flowers in vases . Local and historical art work . Everything you needed for beach, snorkel gear, float toys, coolers, beach chairs. Did I mention the view? spectacular.

My husband, sister-in-law and brother-in-law stayed here for a week in this lovely well equipped rental with a fabulous view overlooking Rendezvous Bay. From the start, Elise was most helpful. We loved every minute here!

More than an excellent value
We are a family of three adults and the house more than met our needs. It is well furnished and comfortable with a gorgeous view. It is situated a few minutes drive to Cruz Bay and grocery stores but far enough away to be peaceful. Communicating with Elise, the property manager, was easy and she was incredibly helpful. We would definitely stay there again having been to St. John five times now.

Love-Love-Love this Location!
Nancy's Folly is the perfect location -- mid-height on hill, south side so not too windy and a mere 8-minute drive into Cruz Bay and its restaurants and shops. The driveway into Nancy's Folly is steep but fully paved and otherwise a dream compared to others on the island I've experienced. But the #1 feature that lured me in to Nancy's Folly: The Porch! With the hot Caribbean sun, shade coverage is important, and the long, covered porch -- complete with outside dining for 4, loungers and conversational "hang out" seating -- is absolute perfection. I spent a lot of time enjoying the porch and its beautiful views, including watching the cute little yellow Bananaquit birds that flew up to dine at the bird feeder. The A/C in the bedrooms worked well and with the ceiling fans made sleeping wonderful. However, the un-air-conditioned main living space could get really warm when the breeze was soft. Elise, the property manager, was responsive to unanticipated issues and made amazingly speedy efforts to correct. Thank you Nancy's Folly and Elise for a very enjoyable week!

Place was absolutely perfect for me and my family , couldnt have asked for anything more , location was great not far at all from town or beaches but still quiet the view is amazing Elise was amazing verry helpful ,happy host. When we come back we wont be looking for another place thats for sure .

The villa was extremely clean and well maintained. It was actually nicer than the pictures indicate. Great view. Close to Cruz Bay. The contact person who lives downstairs was helpful, informative, and accommodating (and we barely knew she was there). We definitely recommend.

Beautiful home and views with expansive deck for sunrise and morning coffee, and late afternoon cocktails after long day exploring the island and beaches. This was a beautiful home with everything you could possibly need right at your fingertips! It was sparkling clean and comfortable. Views off the balcony were stunning and the neighborhood was charming and quiet - tucked away from the main areas, but close enough to access the whole island! Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay at Nancy's Folly Villa. Elise coordinated with us to wait for us at the jeep rental place and show us to the rental. She also gave us tips for restaurants and things to do. The location was wonderful, short drive to Cruz Bay, great views. The kitchen was well stocked to cook a few dinners. They had all the beach things we could want: chairs, coolers, flippers, even snorkels. We hope to be back soon!

This property is absolutely incredible! It’s even nicer in person than it appears in photos. The AC units in the bedrooms work incredibly well and make it very comfortable to sleep at night. The main area can get pretty warm, even with the breeze rolling through, but we were fine with it because we spent most of our time in the villa out on that beautiful patio admiring the view. It’s a steep climb to the villa, but that should be expected in St John. Would absolutely recommend this villa and I can’t wait to return!

Beautiful Views of Rendezvous Bay
Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home that overlooks Rendezvous Bay with my wife for our baby moon. Elise met us at the ferry and showed us to the house. Afterward we chatted for a bit and she gave us some tips on which beaches to go to and what restaurants to eat at. She was incredibly helpful! The house itself had a great porch with a pristine view of the bay. Was quiet at night and a great place to spend the evening winding down. The house had all of the amenities and supplies that we would have needed and everything worked well. We’ll absolutely be back!

Incredible Views - Everything You Need
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay (5 days in May). The house is clean, spacious, has everything you need…reasonable wi-fi, good kitchen, lots of beach essentials (snorkels, towels, chairs, coolers, etc.), and had a truly breath-taking view. Rent a Jeep or a Bronco - roads on the island are laughably hilly / twisty and getting here was no exception. We didn’t spend much time in the house (we were there for the beaches!) but it was a wonderful home base. The balcony was an ideal location for morning coffee or a sunset cocktail. Would gladly stay here again!

Perfect condo for St John
This is a perfect condo for a family of 4 on St John. Well stocked kitchen and perfect balcony. Great communication with Elise (the property manager) and she made sure we had everything we needed for the beach.

Paradise!
Everything about this house is wonderful. The view is amazing and you never get tired of it. I loved the stone shower with the window in it so you could look out on the water while showering. Good location. Close to Cruz Bay downtown. Very clean and spacious. Elise is very helpful and totally nonintrusive. Not a bug in sight. The drive to the house is crazy with the hairpin turns and hills but you get used to it. There is no where safe to walk so you must drive to everything. No place for a morning walk unless you want to walk up and down steep driveway. Great comfortable bed. Plenty of towels and everything you need for the beach including snorkel stuff and noodles and float etc. Food in the grocery store is very expensive. We found it was best to just buy food for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch and then eat out for dinner. This was true for only the two of us. Would definitely stay here again.

Great view, great location
My family and I enjoyed this property. The view of Rendezvous Bay was fantastic. We enjoyed being close to The amenities of Cruz Bay and far enough away to have plenty of peace and a view of nature’s wonders. The house was clean and very functional. Simply stunning!
Nancy’s Folly is a simply beautiful home and it exceeded our expectations in every way! The views of Rendezvous Bay are spectacular! This home is immaculately clean, spacious, well furnished and well appointed. There is no question that a lot of thought, time and care went into making this home special. The open floor plan, cathedral ceilings and walk-in stone shower with views of the bay are just part of what make this home amazing! Our favorite feature was the patio that runs the entire length of the bay side of the home. It has three large sliding glass doors accessing the master bedroom,and the living room and the dining areas. These doors allow a wonderful breeze to continuously blow into the house. (We did not use the A/C during our visit in August at all.) We enjoyed the patio for breakfast in the morning, drinks in the evening and looking at the stars over the bay at night. It was hard to leave this lovely home and explore the island every day! So many extras were also provided that made our stay even more enjoyable, for example, there is a good size cooler along with ice packs, beach towels, beach chairs and even a beach umbrella! The kitchen is fully equipped and everything is spotless! We also liked the location of the home. It is located in a quiet residential area not too far outside of Cruz Bay. This is important because driving in St. John can be a challenge. The roads are narrow, twisting and STEEP! We live in a very mountainous area, so we were surprised by the sometimes perilous roads on St. John! The speed limit on the island is between 10 - 20 miles per hour and trust us, you won't want to go much faster! Being near town is really imperative if you plan to spend time in Cruz Bay, where most of the restaurants and shopping is located. There are many statues of Moko Jumbies tastefully placed inside Nancy’s Folly. Moko Jumbies are stilt walkers that are important figures in Caribbean celebrations. They are considered healing spirits. Nancy’s Folly was the perfect place for us to unwind, relax and “heal” from our busy lives. This home just has good vibes! We would definitely stay in Nancy’s Folly again and would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone visiting St. John!
