Casa de Corazon is a family home that is opening a new chapter in its life as a tropical Florida getaway, close to the beach as well as great Florida destinations. At the end of the day, relax in the screened private pool and patio, and retire to the two comfortable bedrooms and two private bathrooms. The quiet neighborhood is perfect for an excellent night's sleep. Living room includes a queen size sofa/sleeper for two additional guests. The fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and Florida sunroom with French doors opening to the pool area are designed for total privacy and relaxation. Smart TV, wifi and washer and dryer included.

Casa de Corazon is ideally located for beach days, shopping and dining. Indian Rocks Beach is 10 minutes away, Clearwater Beach 20 minutes, Treasure Island Beaches 30 minutes, St. Petersburg Beach and Pass-a-Grille 40 to 45 minutes. Excursion boats and charter fishing boats are available at Clearwater Beach and at John's Pass on Madeira Beach. Dolphin watch cruises and sunset cruises are very popular. For more adventure, Tarpon Springs is about one hour north. The old Greek town was home to sponge divers and is an excellent place to see manatees. Shopping is outstanding in St. Petersburg, Clearwater Beach and John's Pass areas.

Seafood restaurants abound in the area. Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, shrimp and scallops, redfish, and even hogfish, are popular choices. Just 10 minutes away in Indian Rocks Beach are P.J.'s, J.D.'s, Jimmy Guana's, and the original Crabby Bill's. In John's Pass/Treasure Island are Bubba Gump, Scuppers, Caddies, the big Crabby's at the Pass, and Middle Ground Grille. Downtown St. Petersburg has a major arts scene, including The Salvador Dali Museum, and a new Doc Ford's Raw Bar and Grill on the water. Doc Ford's is outstanding!

For those wanting a theme park day, Casa de Corazon is located about 30 minutes from Busch Gardens in Tampa, and 90 minutes from Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. It is actually very realistic to wake up in Largo in the morning, drive the 90 minutes to Disney, spend the day there, and drive back to Casa de Corazon in the evening.

For the veteran who is looking for comradery and inexpensive entertainment, there are two VFW halls, and three American Legion halls within 10-15 minutes drive. Each offers dining, bar service, dancing, and other unique features for the Florida experience.

Casa de Corazon is decorated with art from many nations. The Owner spent a great deal of his career working internationally. Much of the art was obtained in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and the Caribbean Islands. While we hope you enjoy it, while caring for our sentimental, worldly art.

Great Place!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood was quiet, and central to the places and things we wanted to do and see. The house itself was great. Very clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Nice tv for relaxing after a full day, and we really enjoyed the private pool as well. The kitchen has a lot of good counter space to meet anybody's needs, and has a great layout in relation to the dining and living room. There were also plenty of towels, and other supplies provided, as well. The microwave has probably seen better days. The carousel feature doesn't work, and the panel that hides the installation screws is missing. But it still works just fine, and didn't pose any problems. Also, the ceiling fan in the sun room doesn't seem to work, either. The lights come on, but the fan doesn't turn (pulled the chain a few times, but nothing but lights come on). Also, not a problem since we didn't really use the room, and the house has AC, anyway. On the upside, the extra full size fridge in the sun room is a great idea, especially for families planning on cooking a lot. You can keep the food in the kitchen, and fill the sun room fridge with beverages. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. Gerry was really great for answering any questions I had, and was thoughtful enough to check in a time or two to make sure everything was good with the house. We will definitely keep this place marked as a favorite for the next time we come down.

The home is exactly as displayed in the pictures. Not fancy and updated but more than adequate and comfortable. The location is fantastic - close to beaches, shopping, restaurants, sporting activities, amusements/parks. Great spot for a family with small kids - the pool will keep them amused while the parents relax poolside.

Quiet location. Pool green not usable . Cleaning not great. Needs lots of updating. Couldn't use pool. No filtration, only once per week when pool man came. Approached host , no help. BBQ very dirty and oven. Owners response was, " are you going to use the pool as it's not that hot". Very disappointed. Could be a good rental property if maintained property.

Fantastic host!
This property was perfect for our needs. We were celebrating a reunion with relatives with my 95 year old mother. She was thrilled to be able to spend time with a variety of friends and family. Everything worked out great. Gerry gave me instructions on just about everything. Everything we needed was their. House is nice, a little dated but way better than a hotel room. Pool was clean, was cold, wrong time of year to go swimming. Excellent area, have friends in the neighborhood, about 10 20 minutes to beaches, shopping is close. Overall a great time.

This was our first visit to Tampa to see our family. We enjoyed the location & quiet neighbor. The house provided a gathering place for quality family time versus utilizing public beaches or spaces. The pool was a big hit with the young children & their parents. The home was as expected in meaning an older Florida style home with need of some slight cosmetic attention. The pool cover was slightly damaged from the hurricane winds but did not present any problems for us. We would love to visit again in the future.

Great Place To Stay
Me and my husband and son enjoyed our trip this past week. House was very close to several beaches , witch we tried to explore them all. House was very clean , owner let us check in early after a 12 hour drive. Pool was great , we spent a lot of time in it. I would highly recommend staying here. Me and my family look forward to many vacations here.

Home Away From Home
Our stay at Casa de Corazon was excellent and I highly recommend it! The location was within a 10-20 drive of everything we wanted to do and when we didn’t want to leave, we had just as much fun spending time in the pool. As the listing promised, the neighborhood is quiet, comfortable and we felt very safe there. We hope we’re lucky enough to book with Mr. Hart in the future. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Great home, great neighborhood
I rented this property for a week. It was such a a safe and beautiful area. Close to everything you need and beautiful beaches. Pool area needs a little TLC . But, all in all, it was wonderful. Go in any direction and plenty to do!!!! Gerry responded quickly and was very helpful.Thank you so much!

Great Family Stay
Our family wanted to get a house that was close to Clearwater Beach and that wasn’t to far from other areas . The house was a perfect distance . It is located in a quite neighborhood . It was clean and exceeded our expectations . Would absolutely book again . We enjoyed the pool days and lounging in the sunroom ! Overall the house was perfect for our family .

The location and property itself was very good. the owner was easy to contact and problems were addressed quickly. We thought the cleanliness of the property was a little lacking. Dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling, en-suite shower needs work, kitchen knickknacks were greasy, stains on carpet ( looked like they were from an animal even though the listing indicates no pets) The kitchen lacked a few, what we consider, essential items; a kettle, can opener, cookie or baking sheet. It would have been nice to have an empty cupboard where food could be stored. To complete the home, i would suggest some pool toys and possibly a couple of beach chairs with umbrellas for the beach. This may sound like complaints but are not meant to be. These are suggestions that would help to improve the property. We had a great time here and we were very comfortable in our stay. The home worked well and we enjoyed our stay. I would point out that the image of the pool leads to observers thinking that the pool is heated due to the spa attached, I know I did even though when looking at the listing again it stated that it was not heated. Pictures tell a thousand words that most people believe.

House was clean and comfortable! Gerald was very responsive to any questions. Property is a short drive to Indian Rocks Beach and all the restaurants on Gulf Blvd. Previous reviews from guests giving a lower rating due to hot tub not working is unfair! It’s clearly listed in the description.
