Welcome to our cabin, Xanadu, with 50’ frontage on West Rush Lake. Located just one hour north of the Twin Cities! Our 3 bedroom, 1 bath 975 sq foot cabin is the perfect place to make new memories anytime of the year!

With a combined 3,000+ acres West and East Rush Lake offer anglers a variety of high-quality, fishing opportunities for walleye, musky and northern pike, with black crappie, bluegill and largemouth bass as secondary opportunities. Anglers come to West (and East) Rush Lake for year-round fishing! During warm weather months, use our dock- great to unwind with in the morning with a cup of coffee or the evening with a glass of wine (or beer if that is more your style!). Great fishing off the pier. The public access to the lake is only 2 miles down the road. Pontoon boat rentals nearby.
Fire pit near lake to make the perfect s’mores and pudgie pies. We do provide 2 pudgie pie makers.

Enjoy dinner on our deck that you have made on our charcoal grill or go out for dinner and a cocktail at one of the two restaurants on the lake. The Grumpy Minnow is just 2 miles away. Both the Grumpy Minnow and Flickabirds offer great dining options, outdoor patios and live music in the summer.
If you want to venture out – one of MN best casino’s- Grand Casino Hinkley- is only 20 minutes away- or go to Braham known as ‘Homemade Pie Capital of Minnesota‘ and enjoy one of their famous pies.
The cabin has 3 bedrooms:
*Large bedroom in basement - Queen bed - overlooks lake.
*Upstairs Bedroom 1 – King Bed
*Upstairs Bedroom 2- Twin Bed

NOTE:
There is no washer and dryer at the cabin. We will supply 6 bath towels, 4 washcloths, a dish towel and a dish drying towel. One comforter and sheet set for each bed. Please bring your own if more are needed for your visit. Nearest laundromat is about 8 minutes away in Braham.
We do not provide charcoal for grill, firewood for firepit, nor K-cups for the Keurig.
We provide 3 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towel, you may want to bring more

NOTE: This home is in a quiet residential area. No more than 5 guests at the home. No parties or events. If our neighbors report a party and/or more than 5 guests, we will send someone over to verify. If we validate that you are hosting a party and/or have more than 5 guests you will need to leave immediately. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE- quiet time begins at 10 pm.

Cancellation Policy:
Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay.

Rules:
Children allowed - Children are definitely welcome! We purchased this cabin to make memories with our grandson.
No pets – pets not allowed. Owner has allergies so this is a firm no pet residence!
No parties/events - This home is in a quiet residential area, no parties or events allowed
Maximum Guests: 5
Minimum age of primary renter: 25 - Must be at least 25 to rent.

Lake House Getaway

We stayed at the lake house while in town for a good friend's wedding. It was a beautiful spot with some incredible views! As someone who is not a morning person, I could be convinced to start waking up earlier to watch the sunrise over the lake. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks for everything! The only gripe would be that the filter in the Kuerig coffee maker downstairs was getting moldy so we had to use the regular coffee maker in the kitchen. Not a big deal. Just wanted to get away

Had a little trouble finding the address, did not know which road exactly to turn off of to find Azealia, but by following the map we were able to figure it out. Nice cabin had everything we needed, very comfortable.

Quaint and Quiet

Very cute cabin/home. Accommodations were inviting and beds comfortable. There were some nice amenities for the toddler and a baby gate which was much appreciated. Deck was a nice plus with a nice view of the lake. The water is well water so plan to bring bottled water for drinking, coffee, etc. Also owner provides limited paper products (disclosed as much) so plan to bring paper towels, kleenex, tp and napkins. Its not mentioned but the lake is one you can swim in - you just need to have water shoes or be comfortable making your way from the shore by wading through the first 20 feet of weeds and soft mud. Jumping off the metal dock is not realistic as the water there is only about 3 1/2 feet. I grew up swimming in various lakes so the weedy shore thing is not an issue for me. I brought floaties and we swam and saw others swimming, jet-skiing, tubing, etc. Nice quiet lake - was very peaceful.

Cabin is very cozy and stocked with everything you need. Extras were a fun surprise! If you want to fish I reccomend bringing a rake because the weeds are crazy in the water.

The home/cabin has a nice location with a beautiful view of the Rush Lake. The deck was nice and it was nice to be close to a public boat landing. The home/cabin was clean when we arrived.

Kristin was east to communicate with, responded quickly and provided an immaculate place to stay with a very comfortable king bed. The WiFi was good as were the other amenities. The deck looking out toward the lake was a most pleasant place to sit & have coffee.

Modest place, modest price. Great stay

Needed a place to stay with my family while we visited relatives who live in the area. Worked out great. We enjoyed a meal at one of the lakeside restaurants nearby, had plenty of room for the kids to do their thing & caught as many bluegill off the dock as we cared to. Owners were VERY responsive to a small maintenance issue that popped up & I couldn't be more pleased with the level of service.

Great spot on the lake.

Not too far from the cities but definitely feels like your way up north. Does have very steep stairs to downstairs bedroom. Had to be extra cautious with my kids ages 6 & 4. Overall great little spot. Especially for the price

Great quiet place on the lake

We really enjoyed the quietness and homey feeling. The house was perfect for our family of 4 with 3 bedrooms. It had all the necessities we needed. And the kayaks were an added bonus to be able to use. We fished and caught some right off the dock and also out on the lake. It is a quiet lake for fishing and tubing with not much boat traffic! It is a great place to soak up some sun and relax!!

Perfect family cabin

It was wonderful experience. The cabin was VERY clean, well-kept and welcoming. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. It didn’t take us long to settle in. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, floating in the lake and being on our boat. We would definitely rent this property again!
