If you're looking for a newer condo with all the upgrades, one that's priced a little more reasonably than those right at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort, The Pines at Ore House is a great option. This complex is situated one mile from the base of the ski resort, right on the route of the free city bus that stops by every 10 minutes and runs late into the evening. As locals, we use this same shuttle to go skiing and head into downtown Steamboat Springs for dining and nightlife. You'll be within walking distance of the grocery stores, several restaurants, and discounted ski and snowboard rentals at Ski Haus, with an outdoor gazebo, two shared hot tubs, and heated changing rooms on the grounds to welcome you back home.

This newer, two-bedroom-plus-loft condo is tastefully decorated, offering a large stone fireplace, a washer/dryer, three flatscreen TVs, a deck with beautiful views, and a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Find ample space at the dining table for your friends and family, as well as additional spots at the bar if you need more room. The living room has a leather couch and chair, along with a river rock gas fireplace and a large flatscreen TV.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Clean & Great Location
This property was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in! It accommodated my family with ease and the kitchen was great to cook in! The location is fantastic! Easy to walk to the grocery store and coffee! Short drive to all attractions and downtown! The ONLY feedback I have is the 2 bathroom showers on the main level did not drain properly; hopefully this is fixed soon. It made tubs very slippery. Also, needed a hot pad in the kitchen! Other than those two things, I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there next time!

Great location walking distance to Safeway. The cabin feels spacious and having three bathrooms was super convenient for our group. The only negative was there were no supplies in the cabin, a couple of dishwasher tabs but no kitchen supplies and one roll of paper towel - so plan to bring your own oil, salt/pepper, additional items you will need for your stay!

Great Snowboard Vacation!
Overall, we had a great trip and experience staying in this rental. Brad was easy to get ahold of via messaging and responded quickly to a couple of questions we had. The decor was pleasant and the complex is well maintained. It is centrally located next to the market and the ski resort is minutes away which was awesome. It does sit near Highway 40 if traffic noise bothers you. Also, if you plan on taking the city shuttle to the ski area, the condo is the last stop so it is often full by the time it gets there. Because of Covid restrictions, you then have to wait for the next bus. Taking it back to the condo was not an issue. The living room furniture is a bit uncomfortable for watching movies or tv as a family. Other than those minor issues, we had a great stay!

No AC is not an issue, even in mid July. You just open windows at night and close them around 10am for the day. Great location and close to everything. If you are going to get in the river at Fecher park you could walk from the unit there :). Thank you!!

Steamboat in the Summer
We were at this location for 5 days in the middle of July so it was pretty hot. Early mornings and evenings were fine but plan to spend the mid-day someplace cool. Having said that, the condo was clean, well-appointed, quiet, and conveniently located near everything there is to do in the area. We'll be back.

Great location!
The condo is beautiful with 2 large bedrooms and a large loft area. Having 3 showers saved us so much time getting ready. The kitchen is stocked with appliances and extras like sandwich baggies and Tupperware. The owner even left fans as there is no AC and we stayed in July. We were able to walk to Safeway and across the street to the bike trail. We loved the condo and will definitely stay again!

Great location and nice accommodations
The condo is as described. It has a a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, cookware and even some basic spices, coffee filters etc. It was clean and comfy. Any of the concerns from previous reviews were fixed. We used the shuttle to the ski resort, and it was very convenient. We just drove to the front of the parking lot near the pick up spot because the condo is in the back of the property. If you need to rent skis, I recommend Christi Sports! It's in the shopping center right next to condo property and they have free ski storage at the mountain so no lugging your skis back and forth to condo!!:)))) FYI the condo is on the 3rd floor. Also, it does sleep a lot of people, but if you have teenagers who want to sleep late or light sleepers the loft may be a problem as the kitchen and den with big TV are right below it. We enjoyed our stay and love Steamboat! I would recommend to my friends and family.

Perfect!
This property is perfect location to everything steamboat! Cozy and roomy; comfy beds and nice Colorado style decor. Favorite was the dining table where we had family meals every night and played trivial pursuit. Grocery stores and Walmart within walking distance. Right by Mt. Werner and Yampa Core Trail. Rent a bike for your stay and cross Lincoln towards railroad tracks to catch Trail downtown or to trails. Our favorite hikes were Mt. Werner, Fish Creek Trails and Rabbit Ears Peak. Horse back up Emerald at Sombreros ranch for $35.00. Ore House 304 was the oerfect home away from home after a long active day in beautiful Steamboat Sorings!

Fantastic Vacation, Nice Unit, But Needs Fixes
I hate leaving less than a 5-star rating. No unit is perfect and I realize that. I did a TON of research before we chose where to stay, and this unit has everything in place to always get 5-star reviews. However, there were a number of problems. To start with the positives: • The unit is quite nice. We liked the design and it was nicely decorated. • We received a clear email on what to do upon arrival, and the process was perfect. We were able to go directly to the unit and did not have to first stop at a check-in center. We actually arrived an hour early, and the very nice cleaning lady who was just finishing up said we were welcome (the check-in email said that as long as the cleaning was done it was OK to arrive a little early). • The condo layout was perfect for our group: my wife and I in the master, father-in-law in the loft, and kids in the bunk bed room. 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths were awesome. • The hot tub facility was just a short walk and was very nice. • The location was very convenient, close to the Safeway, Ski Haus (fantastic service there), and many other shops/food options (Soda Creek deep-dish pizza was delicious!). However, there were just too many issues. If it were just 1 or 2 I would have still given a higher rating, but these just all need to be fixed so future visitors will benefit: • The kitchen faucet needs work. It was very loose, and because the hot/cold control was built into the main faucet it was a bit aggravating. • The master bed was the loudest I have ever slept in. Any movement at all would result in loud squeaks. The frame needs a ton of WD-40 or should be replaced. It sometimes made it hard to sleep. • The master toilet handle needs repair. There was even a sign that said "lift handle up after use to keep water from running". You are not going to always remember to do this, and inevitably you are going to get in bed, hear it running, and have to get back out of bed to lift the handle. In the middle of the night this was such an annoyance. Leaving a sign versus fixing the problem was irresponsible. • The unit has multiple large TV's, but there is no HD service. We were there to ski but did enjoy some NFL and college bowl games at night, and not paying the few extra bucks to provide HD service seemed cheap. • Some of the towels (white) had stains and need to be replaced. These are all fixable issues, and I hope my feedback will help get this unit back into 5-star shape (as it easily should be).

Wonderful location.
Loved our stay at this condo. Six of us for a girls ski trip. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, great place to relax after a day of skiing. Easy access to free shuttle to ski mountain and downtown. Groceries, restaurant within easy walking. Would definitely stay again.
