VACASA management is a nightmare
VACASA is the worst management company I have ever dealt with. Upon arrival, the very long, uphill driveway was a sheet of ice. A vehicle (a mid-size SUV) in our party slid off into a snow drift along the driveway. It was 7 degrees when we arrived for the 4:00 pm check in and the sun was quickly setting. While we were working on towing/shoveling the car out of the ditch, a family member tried contacting VACASA through texting, emailing and calling, but were met with bots and zero responses. Once we got to the house, the auto key pad to the front door (which was12 digits long for some ungodly reason) would not disengage lock mode which led to many lock outs. Then, the keypad itself died and we could no longer access the home. Among other problems, the bucket of salt at the front door was empty and the stairs were not shoveled, making it extremely unsafe and treacherous. When I finally spoke to someone at VACASA, the representative was unfamiliar with our multiple problems despite the referenced ticket number. All she said was "sorry for the inconvenience" over and over. It wasn't until the third day when a truck came to throw gravel on HALF the driveway. We booked Monday-Saturday and were left with 3 pods for the dishwasher and 1 roll of paper towels. VACASA called this a "starter pack" WARNING: DO NOT BOOK VACASA HOMESThe house was charming despite the multiple problems, but will NEVER book again
