"House of the Rising Son" - This beautifully decorated and privately owned beach house with ocean views from all 3 balconies, is in a perfect location in the heart of Surfside Beach. It is in walking distance of Surfside Pier and several great restaurants. Surfside Beach is a quiet, family beach only minutes away from Myrtle Beach and all attractions and entertainment.

For the 2023 season- New flooring in all the bedrooms and freshly painted throughout.

Featuring 7 bedrooms, 4 on first floor, 1 on second floor and 2 on third floor and 6.5 bathrooms. Master bedroom on each floor. This 5000 sqft spacious home can easily accommodate up to 22 people. Wireless internet access throughout the house.

The first floor has a master suite with a ocean view from its balcony. Featuring a king size bed and large, private bathroom. The 2nd bedroom on this floor has full size bunk beds and twin bunk beds and its own private bathroom with full size shower. The additional 2 bedrooms both feature queen size beds and each have there own private bathroom with full size showers. Also on this floor is a kitchenette with granite countertop, sink, coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave.

The second floor has a spacious, open concept living area and fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, full size washer/dryer, 1/2 bathroom and another master suite. The master suite has a king size bed and trundle bed with private bathroom featuring tub/shower combination. There are 2 large wall-mounted flat TV screens in the living area and plenty of seating.

On the third floor, there is an additional master bedroom with an ocean view balcony, king size bed and trundle bed. The 2nd bedroom on this floor has a queen size bed. These bedrooms share a large bathroom with tub/shower combination.

The elevator is available for use and extends to 2nd floor, but we ask that you do not let children play on it. Instructions are provided for its use as it is different from commercial elevators.

Linens are provided as well as hand soap, one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and a trash bag in each trashcan. Any additional items needed beyond what is supplied, guests will need to purchase or bring with them.

Flat screen TVs are located throughout house as well.

Outside there is a private salt system pool that is professionally maintained, charcoal grill, and picnic table. The pool can be heated upon request. Home is located on a corner lot with extra parking and is directly across from a Public Beach Access.

The owners/host's live locally and can be easily reached at anytime.

Great Stay in Surfside!
The house is beautiful, has a great layout with plenty of space to gather, but plenty of privacy as well. You will find everything you need and a perfect beach access right across the street! The host was very accessible and easy to work with. We would definitely recommend and love to return when we are in the area again!

This home was perfect for our family of 22. Teens and young adults loved the location within walking distance to the beach, the Surfside pier and Myrtle beach. Nice size fully equipped kitchen. Easy access for wheelchair bound spouse. This is our second time at this home and we hope to return!

The House of the Rising Son was fabulous!
We gathered with our family of 16 people including adults, teenagers, children and infants in mid October 2024. We had a fabulous time together. The home was so comfortable and spacious. Each family grouping had their own bedroom and bathroom. There was a huge dining table that fit us all sitting together and plenty of room in the kitchen for cooking meals together. There were plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking and eating meals. The living areas was also soo spacious and fit us all comfortably. The beds were comfortable. The views of the ocean and sunrises were amazing from the decks and it was a short walk across the street to the ocean!! The ocean was soo beautiful and we loved playing with all of our family there!! We also enjoyed swimming in the heated pool. Sherrie was a terrific host answering questions and helping us and was so kind. We loved our time together with our family in this home. We will definitely come back! I can’t say enough good about our experience here. We all kept saying about the house and its location - this is perfect!! Thank you Sherrie for sharing your home with us!

8 guys comfortable stayed here. Was 15 minutes from airport and generally 30 minutes from any golf course we played. Beach a 3 minute walk also a big bonus. Property as described. Hosts very communicative.

Perfect Summer Getaway
Came here to celebrate our friend and take in a few of the golf courses, and it was an awesome house and area! Accessible to the beach and walking distance to the restaurants and bars, would definitely recommend staying here again.

Perfect house for a large group
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite a week of rain. We loved the long dining table that fit our entire group, and the open-concept living/dining/kitchen area. The coffee table with little benches was perfect for jigsaw puzzles. We appreciated the elevator for our older family members and the extra twin with a trundle in the 2nd floor master bedroom for the little ones who woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to sleep with mom & dad. The kids spent as much time as possible in the pool. Our host was super helpful, responding right away when we had trouble operating the elevator and when some water got into the house through the balcony doors. There are a lot of fun indoor activities in the area - bowling, escape rooms, roller skating, etc. - that we took advantage of during the tropical storm. The house is just across the street from the beach, so when we did get breaks in the storm, we were able to spend a little time on the beach as well.

Wonderful family vacation!!
This was one of the best houses that we have vacationed in. We had a large group with us and the bathrooms and bedrooms worked out perfectly. We loved the location& having a pool is always an extra bonus. Walking across the street to the beach was great. The only complaint we had was that there weren’t enough towels. I spoke to the owner and she said she was going to take care of that problem. The owner was always very accommodating and took care of any problems we had immediately. I would highly recommend this house and hopefully we can stay here again sometime in the future.

Our group of 16 family members from DE, GA, OR, RI, DC had a wonderful time in this awesome beach house. It lived up to the previous rave reviews and exceeded our expectations. Clean, spacious, well laid out, very short walk to the beach, nice pool, responsive owner/manager (but we had no problems), nice quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed eating dinners together prepared in the well equipped kitchen. Loved the long table. Thank you!

Great location with easy access to the beach. Home was as pictured and described and seemed well maintained. Kitchen had ample items for home cooking. Ice maker in freezer was a little underperforming. Having a second full size refrigerator and dedicated ice maker would have been useful. Outdoor private pool was nice, but lacks a shaded area option in the pool area.

Myrtle Beach Golf Weekend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. 20 of us play golf each year the 3rd week of May. We enjoyed the location, spaciousness and the layout. The heated pool worked out well for relaxing after golf. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. Would definitely stay there again!

Our families Christmas gift
Our whole family loved the house and the area. They all went to the beach and swam in the pool and we played tons of board games. Ate lots of good food and just over all had a wonderful time being all together. Ages from 2 to 87. 4 generations. We all loved every minute. Thank you for sharing your home.
