Please note that this property is part of a multi-unit house. While your unit is entirely private, the laundry area and all outdoor amenities (such as the yard, patio, and hot tubs) are shared with guests staying in other units on the property.

Unit #4 is located on the 2nd floor of a multi-unit building and is accessed through the shared front door.The Compass Rose's guests will then walk straight up the stairs to the right and the door with "Unit #4" on it. A spiral staircase leads to the upper units—please be mindful of other guests’ privacy when using shared spaces.

Car: This is the most convenient option if you are traveling within Blossvale or to nearby towns. There is ample parking available in Blossvale.

Walking: Blossvale is a small town, so it is easy to get around on foot. If you are staying in the center of town, you can walk to most of the shops and restaurants.

Any evidence of smoke in the home after check out will be subject to a $300 fine and any guests found to be partaking in illegal drug use while still inhabiting the home will be removed immediately, no refund will be issued and possible legal ramifications will ensue
-Please be extremely careful with starting a fire in the outdoor kitchen fireplace. Please clean up any garbage left around this area and use caution when enjoying a fire

-Respect the neighbors: it is very important that noise levels are kept reasonable in the outdoor areas after 9pm. If there are any complaints we may not be able to continue hosting in the future and any repeated noise complaints will result in removal from property
-Please notify us of any extra house guests as they must be approved before staying- you may be charged an additional fee or, depending on the circumstances, we will enforce a removal from the property for all guests immediately without a refund

This is our fourth year vacationing at Sylvan and our first time at the Compass Rose. My family and I had a very restful, enjoyable, and comfortable experience. It was a pleasant surprise to see that the condo was equipped with everything that we could have needed. Including a doggie feeding mat for Dr. Bob our furry family member. Thank you to the owners for being quick to respond to emails and thoughtful with providing an enjoyable experience for my family

Quick family getaway

Cute and spacious house. Right on the lake and walkable to everything you could want in Sylvan Beach. Plenty of places to eat in town and the sunsets are hard to beat. The house overall is comfortable and we never felt cramped, despite having 4 adults, a small dog and 2 teens. Lots of room to spread out, especially the porch. Only complaint was the inaccurate description of the beds. All full size, no queens. Lastly, the owner was very responsive. Would love to return.

Spectacular View

The house and unit was easy to find and access. The view from the Second Floor Balcony was spectacular. The description of the house could be a little more clear. The "Compass Rose" Unit (#4) indicated that it had 2 beds in one room and 2 beds in another room, when in fact is has 2 beds in one room, 1 in another room, and 1 pullout sofa in the living room. The place was nice, convenient, and right on the beach. Had all the things we needed for our stay. The cleanliness of the unit could have been better. There were spider webs in places and the bathroom smelled like sewage/mustiness when we arrived. The back door was also jammed and would not open without extreme force. The hot tubs were a great addition to this place, but they were not very clean. Overall we would stay again with hopes that it would be cleaner next time.

Nice but didn’t quite work for my family

Very nice place and comfortable beds. Although, if you have small children that still take naps, this particular unit might be a bit noisy. There’s a set of doors that looks like a closet but it’s actually a neighboring unit. It’s locked and blocked off but you can clearly hear everything on the other side. Our neighbors had a large group and they’d often hold conversations by the door. Also, something to consider if you have toddlers, there is no deadbolt option on the main door. My little guy let himself out a couple times. Other than that, the place is beautiful and well appointed. Perfect for a couple or small group of friends.

Great location

Property was spotless very clean. Overlook of the beach was great nice community space. The living room gets a bit crowded with more than 3 but we split time in the evening between the living room and the deck.

Quick Long Weekend

The condo was well appointed and everything was as advertised. The view was amazing and the beach access was perfect. Although you share the property with other guests, there are two hot tubs and enough grills for all guests. Highly recommend and would stay again.
