Tavira is an ideal place to stay for leisure and relaxing as it is situated on the Ria Formosa. This Ria produces sea salt and has a myriad of wild life including flamingos, birds and beautiful butterflies. The water ways are busy with yachts, fishing boats and ferries particularly in the summer when visitors hop across the water to the Ilha de Tavira (Tavira Island) . The island is an idyllic sandy beach in an area of outstanding & unspoilt natural beauty .The Island also offers a good choice of restaurants in a pleasant and authentic environment.
The apartment is impeccably furnished and there is a delightful and well thought out roof terrace for entertaining or relaxing with built in BBQ and fridge for cool drinks. It's also an ideal place to use as a base to explore the Algarve, it's many beautiful beaches, water sports and the golf courses nearby. Benamor golf is the nearest 18 hole golf course approx. 2,5 kilometer down the road. The golf courses of Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima are less than a 10 minutes drive away.
The property comprises an entrance hall leading to a good size living room with a dining area, modern fully equipped kitchen, three double bedrooms (1 double bed & 2 twins) all with built in wardrobes. There are two bathrooms; one en-suite to the master bedroom with four-poster bed and the second bathroom has a hydro massage bath. This apartment has air conditioning and a large private roof terrace (accessed by lift or stairs) of approx. 26m2 with table & chairs, sofas and built in BBQ and fridge; an ideal place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the old town. There is a swimming pool (16 x 6m2) with large sun terrace and lawn for the sole use of the owners and their guests. This large pool is for 8 apartments only.

Sehr schöne Anlage
Nachdem eine neue Klimaanlage eingebaut wurde (nach 3Tagen Aufenthalt) war der Aufenthalt in der Anlage perfekt. Zentrale ruhige Lage. Zum Inselboot fußläufig 15 min. Lidl fußläufig 10 min. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wurden gut betreut.

Great little apartment, ideal location
To be honest from the outside I was initially a bit disappointed. Even though I'd seen the location & the car park on the opposite side of the road on google, the exterior isn't amazing. However and it is a big however, I got over that very quickly. The apartment was great. As people have said, there was absolutely nothing that it didn't have. It was really clean & the decor was lovely. The air con was mostly working well, the en suite shower was amazing, the beds were fine. The roof terrace is unusual, as it is divided into sections for diffferent apartments but we never saw anyone else there. The area we had was really nice. Comfy lounge chairs, a dining set & bbq plus a small fridge. Again, everything had been thought of. We had all our meals up there. You go up in lift but it's right outside the apartment and takes a minute. The pool was large & clean & never very busy. We had it to ourselves a few times. The location is excellent. A short walk to most places. 8 min walk to the centre. 5 mins to the bakery, 12 mins to Lidl, 15 to the gym (yes my son had to have a gym fix!), 15 mins to the ferry to the beach. there are loads of wonderful restarurants & the town centre is lovely. Super clean everywhere and just a really nice atmosphere. Nothing stays open after 2am and no night clubs or late night bars, if that's your scene. The ferry to the beach runs every 30 mins. There is another nice beach a 10 minute drive away too. The managing agents were great. We will return

a few improvements needed
a lovely apartment with everything catered for - the only thing that needs attention is the towels - they have definitely seen better days - the air con in the living room was leaking a lot when we arrived - we reported it on day 1 but it was still not sorted when we left after 2 weeks - not a major problem for us as we didn't use the room very much - but it could have been if a family made more use of the living room or if it was the winter and the unit was needed for heat

Great apartment and location
This is a lovely property in a great location situated about 5 mins walk from the centre of Tavira. There is a free parking lot directly opposite the property and we always found a space there. The nearest supermarket is a 5 min drive or a 10 mins walk although it does involve crossing a busy junction if you choose to walk. You could stay here easily without a car, we hardly used ours during our stay. The property manager was exceptionally helpful and sorted any problems as soon as they were raised. The roof terrace was excellently equipped with chairs , plastic glasses, a small fridge, BBQ etc, it was really good. A wonderful pool too. I think it was excellent value for a central location.

Fantastic Stay
We have had a brilliant stay at the apartment in Tavira. Facilities were great - the apartment had everything that was needed, roof top terrace was lovely as was the pool. Check-in was straight forward with no problems and very welcoming. Location was perfect and within easy walking distance of the town. We would highly recommend!

We (2 adults and 2 teens) had a great time in this apartment. It is within easy walking distance of restaurants and attractions. The free parking just across the road is very convenient. Loved the pool and rooftop area. They are just as the pictures. Thank you.

Great Location
Excellent location, stayed there 47 nights, living area in bad need of new/comfortable furnishings. Main bedroom mattress comfortable but was queen size, not king as stated. Staff were helpful when confronted with a problem.

A lovely apartment in a great location
This is a lovely apartment, well equipped and well furnished throughout. The kitchen had everything we needed for occasional meals 'at home'. It is ideal for an out of season holiday (late October/ November). Although we had beautiful weather, it can be chilly at night at that time of year, but this apartment is like a home from home so we had some cosy evenings in. We also made good use of the pool area which is a lovely sunny area - because of the time of year, we were usually the only people there. The only downside is the two flights of stairs/ lift to reach the roof terrace, but again, due to the time of year, we didn't use it much. The apartment is located a few minutes from the castle, interesting churches, loads of restaurants - and a great Pingo Doce supermarket on the N125, 3 minutes drive from the apartment. There is also an excellent French bakery a few minutes walk from the apartment so we had wonderful bread every morning for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning to this apartment for an off season break. Thank you to the property managers who arrived promptly for our arrival and departure.

Excellent property
The apartment is located in a great position, you can walk into the centre of Tavira in about 5 mins, where there are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants. The pool at the back of the property is a very good size and we were surprised how quiet it was when we were by the pool ( we were there in July/August). No traffic noise and often we had the pool to ourselves. The apartment is great three good size bedrooms all with air conditioning and good size sitting room with air conditioning. Kitchen is very well equipped- everything you need including a cool box. Although there is no parking designated to the property, we never had a problem parking either in the car park opposite or on the street. The patio is on the roof which is accessed by internal shared stairway. The agent met us on time at the property and was very helpful. They provided us with two sets of keys which was very useful. My family of four had a very enjoyable holiday and we will definitely be back.

Schöne großzügige Wohnung in Tavira
Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und modern eingerichtet. Sie bietet Platz, auch für sechs Erwachsene. Sehr angenehm die dazugehörige Dachterrasse und der Pool hinter dem Haus. Auch die Lage ist gut: 3 Minuten zum Bus-Bahnhof, 5 Minuten bis ins Zentrum von Tavira. Der Service durch Happy Homes war ebenfalls sehr gut - muito obrigado!

Exploring the Algarve
This was our first visit to Portugal and the Algarve. We chose Tavira because we have friends who come here every year to escape the cold of New England and to golf. We were hoping to find a place where we could do the same. We were very happy with this apartment. It looked just like the pictures online and the check in process was very easy. It was just my husband and myself in the unit but we appreciated having two bathrooms and the extra space of two bedrooms. The bed in the master was very comfortable and when it got cold at night we appreciated the heating units in both the bedroom and living room. The kitchen is pretty well stocked but it would have been nice to have one roll of paper towels, more hand soap, and trash bags as part of the set up. The location is great for easy access to shops, restaurants, a very small market, and the beach (via ferry) all are in walking distance. A big market is also close by (could walk) at a short drive. It is also easy to hop on the highway to get to other areas. The only thing I would encourage is that the listing specify that the roof deck is only accessible from outside the unit, either via stairs or elevator. I assumed it was something we could get to from inside the unit and was surprised with I later read a review by someone else that it was not. However, that said the roof deck is well outfitted with furniture and tables and we did enjoy using it on the couple of sunny days and evenings that we had. I would definitely recommend this unit and its location to anyone traveling to Tavira and especially if you do not have a car as the bus and train station are nearby. The beach is beautiful, though you need to take a ferry ride to get there but its well worth it. We did not have the best weather but still enjoyed the area, the people, the food, and the wine. Take note if you want to visit wineries you need to make advance reservations.

Overall a bit dissappointing / Description should be clearer
The property is a really good size, well equipped and in a great location, an easy walk to everywhere. The Property Management company were very helpful, they responded to emails quickly and the check-in/check-out process was excellent. I can’t remember the name of the agent but she was lovely. However It should be made clear, in the description, that the terrace is not directly accessible from the apartment, you need to leave the apartment, take a lift/walk 2 flights of upstairs then cross the flat roof to access it. So just wandering out in your PJs, to sit in the sun, with a coffee and pastry isn't happening. Also the "Satellite/Cable TV" was useless, there is a Sky TV connection but the owner hasn't taken out a subscription. We literally only had CNN, and our attempts to access streaming sites (Amazon, AppleTV etc) were blocked by the regional access restrictions on our UK registered accounts. This was particularly annoying, given that it was Christmas/New Years with Covid restrictions so we spent quite a lot of time, in the evenings, in the apartment. Finally, and this is may be a personal thing, but this is the first time we've stayed anywhere in Tavira where there wasn't some personal touch ... a bottle of wine or some fresh bread etc just one of those little touches that makes you feel welcome. Especially since it was Christmas. It's also the first accommodaton I've stayed in during the festive season that didn’t decorate (or at least offer to decorate) for a Christmas stay ... the bareness was a bit depressing. So given the wealth of good quality accommodation available in Tavira I don’t think I’d stay again.

Wonderful property in an area of Tavira which is close to a wide range of restaurants and bars.
We have stayed in Tavira on four previous occasions, each time in a different property. Of them all, this one is the best equipped we have had, especially in the kitchen and is also best located for evening entertainment. The apartment was also spotlessly clean when we arrived. We will definitely look to rebook at some future date and will have no hesitation recommending the property to family and friends.
