La cabane Terlingua de Sherri surplombe le ruisseau Terlingua

Terlingua Cabin Sherri est un endroit merveilleux pour se détendre et un excellent point de départ pour explorer la région de Big Bend. Vous aurez un accès rapide et facile au parc national de Big Bend, à la rivière Rio Grande, à Terlingua Ghost Town et au parc d'État de Big Bend Ranch. La cabine à distance de marche facile (1/3 mile) au célèbre La Kiva Bar and Grill.

Profitez de toutes les commodités de la maison. Il y a une chambre avec un grand lit, une mezzanine (attention au plafond bas) avec deux lits jumeaux, une salle de bain, un salon et une petite cuisine.

Le salon dispose d'un futon en taille réelle qui peut être fait comme un lit. Il y a une petite télévision avec un lecteur DVD intégré. Nous avons quelques DVD. N'hésitez pas à apporter le vôtre, mais vous passerez probablement plus de temps sur le porche à regarder les étoiles et Terlingua Creek.

La cuisine a un réfrigérateur, micro-ondes, four grille-pain, machine à pain, petit four à convection et une cafetière. Le poêle fonctionne mais pas le four. Il y a aussi des assiettes, de l'argenterie, des verres pour votre usage. Des pots et des casseroles sont également fournis.

La salle de bain est petite mais dispose d'une douche, de toilettes et d'un lavabo avec de l'eau chaude courante.

La cabine est refroidie et chauffée par deux mini systèmes de climatisation split.

La cabane Terlingua de Sherri est située sur une falaise au-dessus d'une section alimentée par la source du ruisseau Terlingua. La plupart du temps, il n'y a qu'un ou deux pieds d'eau dans cette section du ruisseau. Mais quand il pleut, il peut devenir un torrent furieux dans le canyon au-dessous de la cabane. Faites attention près du bord de la falaise. Le sol peut changer dangereusement et de façon inattendue.

Pas d'animaux de compagnie. Les enfants de moins de 12 ans ne sont pas autorisés dans la cabine.
Lors de votre séjour dans cette cabane, vous ne serez qu'à quelques minutes de Big Bend Library. Cette cabane propose une cuisine et un balcon.

Great location, OK accommodation
The house is located on a somewhat secluded, small knob next to the Terlingua creek. We sat every evening on the porch to first watch the black vultures settle in a big tree in front of the porch, then bats, and then the stars. Unfortunately, during some nights a neighbor a few 100 yards away had a bright light turned on all night that made star watching difficult.The interior of the tiny house is quite old and could need some updates but we found the Queen bed comfortable. The dining table is quite wobbly. We did not test the upstairs beds.It rained two nights and when it did there was water seepage through the bedroom windows and dripping onto the bed. I informed the property manager/owner about this. It was not a showstopper, quite an interesting experience .All in all, we liked our stay but did not entirely agree with the quality of the interior of the house.

Stay at Cabin
The cabin was just the right size for my daughter and me. It was much larger on the inside than it looked. It was a really convenient spot for the sites including Big Bend NP, Terlingua Ghost Town, and Big Bend Ranch State Park. We had to conserve on water because of desert conditions but directions were given on checkin and we had no problems. We had trouble understanding directions for the AC so didn’t use it. Thenights were pleasant with opening the windows to the desert air. By the end of our5 day stay daytime temps had gone from nineties to seventies. Kitchen was well equipped Sufficient for the two of us. We’re nature lovers do enjoyed the morning birds and the occasional owl hoot.

Expensive Tiny House
I guess it was peak season for Big Bend, but 300 per night (roughly, including all of the various fees) seemed like a crazy amount for this little house, which was just off the main road and nestled next to an emergency response building and what looked like a bunch of factories or machine shops. Giant trucks went by regularly. The proximity to Terlingua and Big Bend were the best things about the place. The double bed was comfortable, it was air-conditioned, and it had all the basics. Otherwise, some of the furniture was worn, the spaces seemed cramped, and the showers were lukewarm and short because of the ongoing drought. The place is ok, but definitely nothing special. Especially for the price, personally, I’d look for a nicer place.

Sherri’s cabin was as advertised and perfect for our trip to Big Bend. The cabin was well equipped for our stay and very clean. It is also perfectly located for access to the park and near some very tasty restaurants. We would definitely stay at this cabin on our next visit to the park.

This was the perfect cabin for our small family. It was cozy with great views of the stars at night but not too far from restaurants and shops. Everything we needed was waiting for us inside. Our son loved the creek and the loft. Highly recommend.

This cabin was perfect for our trip. Check in was so easy and the property was accurate compared to the listing. The beds were super comfortable. The shower is a little short, fine for me but a little difficult for my husband. Super cute inside. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking at the stars. Convenient location to restaurants in town and BBNP. If we return, we plan to stay here again!

This cabin was a perfect location for visiting both Big Bend N.P. and Big Ben State Park. The cabin was perfect for two but surely could have accommodated four or six. We easily found it even though the street sign was down. Close to restaurants and sites and both parks. The cabin was clean with everything we needed for making our meals. The managers of the cabin were very easy to communicate with. Best part of cabin was sitting on the front porch at 3:00 am to watch the Milky Way snake across the sky!!!

Excellent Stay for Big Bend Adventure
Cabin was conveniently located in Study Butte, giving easy access to both Big Bend and Terlingua. The twin beds are located upstairs and requires watching one's head but are otherwise perfectly fine. The lack of Wifi might be disappointing to some but for others a welcome retreat from distractions. The only real complaints are ones that are beyond the control of the owner. Adjacent to the cabin along the creek is a large and unsightly pile of used tires that turns a picturesque location into a trashy one. Second, while La Kiva across the creek is an excellent (and super convenient) restaurant for meals, live music might keep you up later than you like after a long day of hiking. (But you can also sit on the porch and listen to it!)

For visiting Big Bend, there is no better place to stay. Quiet location outside of Terlingua (glad I did not stay 'in town'). Rustic, but it has everything you need. At the end of a long day of hiking, it was great to relax and be able to cook my own meal. Definitely stop in Alpine for groceries! Very clean.

A good night sleep
The bed was comfortable- a much needed comfort after spending our days hiking and exploring BBNP. It was a perfect location and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone who wants to stay near Big Bend.

Nice place!
If you're visiting Big Bend this place is a great option for you. It's pretty big, spacey, nice looking and the location is great. Only 1 thing the owner should know is that the A/C in the living room is very noisy. Other than that I think it's a great choice.
