Booked for two nights when moving daughter into KU. After arriving and not being very impressed with the room for the price because of general uncleanliness and smell, we inquired at front desk about if we could get a refund if we cancelled 2nd night. We were told we could ask the manager that would be in in the morning. The next morning we asked the manager and we were told we could get a refund if we check out and they are able to rent the room. We decided to take the gamble as we really weren’t wanting to spend another night in that room and left the keys ant the front desk after our conversation with the manager. I checked the website frequently and never saw our double room available. I emailed inquiring about a refund the next morning as it looked as though they must have rented it and I was told no. They did not clean it or check us out so they were not able to rent it the 2nd night, so no refund. I responded with I checked out and left the keys after the 1st night. The reply from the manager made it sound like it was our decision to leave the keys and they did not check us out so they couldn’t clean or rent our room. We were under the impression that we were checking out and hoping it would get rented since it was a busy weekend and we could get our $175 back. Why would we leave the keys and not want them to clean and try to rent the room? No response after 2nd request for refund as it was not my fault they didn’t even try to rent it. Would not recommend
