Fourth of July family vacation
We loved the property, especially the private beach across from the house, which we used morning, afternoon, and night. The pet-friendliness of the rental was a huge plus for our group and we stayed very comfortably for 4 nights. Communication with the property manager was easy. We loved it!!

Lovely house and great host!
The house is lovely and had eveything we needed. It was also very comfortable. The view of the bay is really nice. The host was great. The location offers easy access to Traverse City and Sutton's Bay. The only drawback is that the traffic on M22 can be a little loud in the morning.

Great place to stay!
This home was fantastic for our families to meet and stay. The large downstairs was a great for all of us to gather. Appreciated the fully stocked kitchen for cooking! Wish we had more time to stay longer. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Very dirty, misleading pictures, inconvenient stay
As much as I would have loved to leave a good review, in good conscience, I can not bring myself to lie. With all due respect, we have never had as much trouble staying anywhere as much as we had at your property. The lack of care and cleanliness was unbelievable. The floors hadn’t been swept in what seems like forever, the amount of insects and bugs surpasses ANYTHING I have ever seen, there were stains on the couches and the pullout bed, not to mention the obnoxious amount of pet hair. The day we arrived we spent a GREAT deal of our time making the place habitable by sweeping, tending to dirtiness, and the like. Despite doing all that, we were unable to achieve optimal results. When doing laundry, we left clothes on the floor for a few minutes, and when we picked them back up they were infested with bugs which was absolutely disgusting. Our kids had a very difficult time sleeping because of the stressing over the bugs in the house. Everyone was worried about insects over them and the possibility of bed bugs. It was not our first stay in a vacation home, and I can safely say we have never ever had such an experience. The pictures listed were very misleading, but the check in process was not difficult. If anything in the area was available, we would have switched ASAP.

Loved Traverse City
We loved our first MI experience overall. Home was fine - enough room for our family of 5. We loved having the private lakefront spot with kayaks and a fire pit. The few downsides were these: (1) many of the dishes and utensils were dirty. We re-washed just about everything. I understand it’s a rental and these things happen, but it’s disappointing for what this place cost. (2) in order to get to the lakefront area you have to cross two lanes of traffic going at 55mph! I didn’t see this in any prior reviews, so if you have young kids this may be a concern. (3) when we arrived there were dirty sheets in the washing machine. The property manager took care of them quickly, but that also shouldn’t be. I’m not sure if the owner lives in the house nextdoor that is semi-attached (which was mentioned in a prior review but not included in any of the photographs or descriptions). Overall, we loved our trip. We wouldn’t return to this house again for the reasons stated above, but the area is great!

Great dog friendly property
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy rustic property. Dog friendly was a huge plus for us, and the private beach is fantastic. Plenty of space to sleep, cook, and hang out. The property is a bit rustic, and the beach is across busy M22 so potentially tough for families with small kids. Small upgrades to fresher bedding would earn a 5th star though, as pet friendly counts for a lot!

Excellent girls weekend stay!
This place was awesome! Location is great. The private beach across the street is amazing. Our host, Troy, was wonderful. He kindly carried out 4 kayaks for us to enjoy on the water! The house is very well stocked with everything you may need from beach towels to blow dryer to steamer. 10/10 would recommend!

Owner of property lives in apartment/garage that is attached to rental. Wasn't aware until arrived for stay. Attempted to cancel/refund without success. Rental pictures fail to show owner's side of "apartment". Otherwise it appeared to be a good location and nice looking place.

Great vacation house conveniently located on M22 between Traverse City and Suttons Bay with private beach, fire pit, kayaks, private patio and grill. Perfect for our family gathering hanging out in the evenings, grilling, roasting s’mores and enjoying the stars. Great location for exploring local wineries, farm stands, Traverse City - easy to get to Empire, Leland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mission Peninsula and more. Host and owner are friendly, responsive and helpful. House is perfectly equipped and super clean. Has everything you could want and need.

Family Vacation
The location was great for our family vacation. We drove up from the Chicago suburbs to be near the water, and the property didn't disappoint. The private beach is located right across the street, and the water is clear and refreshing! The house had everything we needed during our trip, and the host even provided us with a portable A/C unit to backup the main system during a mini heat wave we experienced when we arrived. We look forward to visiting the area again in the future!

Fun Winter Getaway
We went to this property for a New Year’s Eve getaway. It’s a beautiful setting along M-22 with sunrise views that were priceless. It’s a cozy home but there is a lot of space. The owner, who lives next door, was very friendly and came out to greet us and shovel snow from the walkway. My kids loved the full size bunk beds and the big farmhouse style kitchen table - big enough for many puzzles and games. I imagine it would be a real sought after space in the summer months as you have directed access to the Grand Traverse Bay. Overall we really enjoyed our time there - and there’s so many fun wintertime activities in the area. My only small issue is the plug is non-functioning in the downstairs bath tub. Our little one could not take a bath easily as a result. It’s a quick fix and not a big deal. I still highly recommend this place.
