Welcome to The Humble Sea, your perfect coastal getaway in beautiful Humboldt County, California. Our stunningly remodeled home is perched above the Pacific Ocean, offering unparalleled privacy and convenience. Situated on 3/4 of an acre, you'll enjoy a private view of the coastline as you look south, and a quick drive in either direction will take you to some of the best beaches, forests, trails, and outdoor activities that Humboldt has to offer.

The home features a spacious and light-filled, fully remodeled kitchen and living room with breathtaking ocean views at every turn. Enjoy your morning coffee while overlooking the Pacific Ocean from the dining table or the breakfast bar, which can comfortably seat up to seven guests. There's central heating throughout the house for your comfort, or you can cozy up by the wood-burning stove for an added touch of warmth.
The upstairs bedroom boasts a brand new Nectar Queen bed, perfect for a good night's sleep after a day of exploring the Humboldt coast. You'll also find a beautiful new bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub to relax in. Downstairs, you'll find a queen bed and a twin bed, an infrared sauna, and an additional bathroom with a tiled shower.

Outside, enjoy the large yard that's perfect for any activities or lounging. You can rinse off the sand from the beach in the private hot outdoor shower in the lower yard. And if you time your visit right, you can even snack on some fresh raspberries, boysenberries, huckleberries, and blueberries while taking in the Pacific paradise.

Rainy Christmas in a Beautiful Setting
The house was welcoming and comfortable with a well equipped, modern kitchen. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The walk to the beach was a bit longer than we expected, but it was a fabulous place for a walk with the dogs. We all agreed we would like to come back another time - in betterweather so we could enjoy th hot tub!

Beautiful location
Beautiful home with an amazing view. We were not disappointed. Owners left clear instructions. I will say if you are planing to stay more than a few days and need groceries, there are many places to choose from in Eureka. The Grocery Outlet in McKinlyville was very nice, also. Walmart and Winco are in Eueka, as well as Costco. It was a very nice trip! We hope to come back again soon.

Ocean View with Spa - The Perfect Getaway
What a perfect place to stay for our 20th anniversary getaway. The view of the ocean from the dining room/kitchen is spectacular. In the evening, you can sit out in the spa and view the starts with no light pollution. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had what we needed to make meals. Trinidad is a sleepy tourist village that has a great vibe. You'll be less than 30 minutes away from the Redwood National and State Park and everything it has to offer. The perfect stay!

Great stay and amazing setting!
The house was perfect and just what we needed for our trip. Great location and access to the Redwoods, as well as the towns of Trinidad and Arcata. Moonstone Beach is just a short walk down the hill and a perfect beach to take the dogs. Sam, the co-host, is also a photographer and took photos of our elopement - would recommend and would stay here again!

Lovely home
Super private, lush property, distant view of the ocean adds to the sense of solitude. Hot tub a welcome treat in the evening. I couldn’t figure out the induction stove and burned every meal. Will definitely Google a tutorial for next time. Internet TV was terrific. Only thing lacking is a hairdryer.

Nice dog friendly location with a beautiful view
We rented this property for my son's graduation from Humboldt State and Mothers Day. It was centrally located with a beautiful view. It was cozy and comfortable. The house was well stocked and clean and you can tell the owners have great taste. It was an added bonus to be able to bring the dogs.

Amazing place!
This place was better then the pictures, which isn't always the case. We were so happy with the location, set up and cleanliness. The owners were responsive to any need or question. The view was perfect in the morning and evening. The slide was an added fun and eventful extra thing to do while relaxing in the yard. No complaints here, we hope take it back someday

Great retreat
My family used this sweet house as a “home base” as we went up and down the coast hiking in the Redwoods. The gorgeous view and hot tub were such a treat after our long days. The town of town of Trinidad had all that we needed in terms of grocery and restaurants. The suggestions from the hosts were also great. I already want to return.
