Welcome to Vail Haus, where modern mountain luxury and old world style and charm come together to deliver the perfect mountain getaway. This beautiful two bedroom penthouse sits at the base of the Eagle Bahn Gondola in the heart of Lionshead – only steps away to the Vail ski school, the Arabelle Hotel, Patagonia, and numerous dining and shopping establishments.

Our home has been outfitted in the best of modern materials and appliances while antiquities and art from our travels around the globe bring a wave of Bavarian charm to the experience.

The kitchen is framed in by a beautiful bar transplanted from one of Denver’s oldest dining establishments. In the kitchen you will find top of the line appliances and accessories for all of your cooking needs including Sub-Zero refrigerator, Wolf Cooktop, Stove & Oven, copper/cast iron pots & pans, microwave, and coffee maker. And of course, plates and flatware for both every day-dining and more intimate soirees. The kitchen is also home to the in-condo washer and dryer!

The kitchen gives way to the dining/living area via 4 antique bar stools that cozy up to the bar counter – they too were transplanted from another infamous drinking hole in southwest Colorado. The dining area offers views onto Vail mountain and is grounded by a beautiful farm table lit by both candles and an antique European chandelier. Bench seating accented with a host of comfy pillows allow for 8 to dine comfortably.

Turning sights to the living room, you’ll find the couch, two leather club chairs, and a collection of luxurious blankets to be a very relaxing and cozy place to kick back in front of the wood burning fireplace (wood provided). Both cable tv and wifi are provided if you find yourself needing a night on the couch or a connection back to reality.

The master bedroom reflects Parisian elegance while providing incredible comfort. It offers a queen bed with down comforter and pillows and the ensuite master suite includes a jacuzzi tub and towel warmers. Guests will also find plenty of closet space, a small vanity and a charming sitting area looking up onto the mountain.

The second bedroom offers a modern take on what one might find in a classic European mountain lodge. Both a queen bed and accompanying day bed provide comfortable accommodation for 2 adults and a child or 3 children. Closet space, down comforters and views up to the mountain make this room a favorite to all. Just across the hall lies the second bathroom that has both a steam shower (eucalyptus oil provided) and towel warmers to provide some additional rejuvenation after a day on the mountain.

In addition to accommodations, should you need any other assistance, we are more than happy to help with recommendations and coordination when and where possible.

Family time on a cold weekend

Can’t say enough about our stay. We asked for an early check in which was quickly accommodated. Check in easy. Location could not be better. The details and all that is needed made it feel so homey. We had wood for a fire for all day for 4 days. And didn't run out. The decor and all furnishings very high end. Even at check out, I asked for check out instructions and we did not do anything. That is quite a treat when you are heading to the airport before 7am. As many other stays require stripping the beds, taking trash out …. And we just locked up and left. Hope this place is available for our next trip.

Perfect Location!

You can't get a better location in Lionshead. This condo is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. We loved the fireplace! We rented and stored our skis at Christy's, which was incredibly convenient. And we were so close to the gondola. Communication with the owner was great. The only small thing was lugging our huge suitcases up the stairs, but really wasn't that big of a deal. I would rent this unit again for sure!

Vail Ski Trip

Father son ski trip. The location was perfect, close to lifts, restaurants, all Vail amenities. We stayed for a week and would stay again. Steps away there are ski rental shops and a new Epic rental shop (membership $50 annual, which offers deep discounted ski rentals all of which eliminates the 3 story walk up as storage is included with rental.

Vail Haus

Our group had a wonderful stay in this comfortable, well appointed condo. The location was great about 2 min walk to the Lionshead Gondola and near many shops and restaurants. The host was very kind and prompt responding to messages. The condo was equipped with everything we needed and all the furnishings and decor were tasteful and highly curated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will try to book again next year.

Great location

The condo is perfectly located. Right at the gondola and across the sports store for rentals which are stored there conveniently. Grocery store right there as well as lots of restaurant and the bus stop to Vail city. Everything is literally on front of the door!! The condo is absolutely beautiful and charming. Hosts (Taylor) very responsive and helpful! We really enjoyed our stay!!

Beautiful Condo very close to Lionshead Lift

Vail Haus is a gorgeous condo with high-end finishes. Taylor is great and was very communicative both during and after our stay. The condo is very close (< 1 block) to the Lionshead condo. My family loved this location as it made getting out and back each morning a breeze. We rented from Christy Sports across the street and were able to store our skis and poles there each evening. I was a little concerned about the 2-stories we'd have to walk up to get to the condo ahead of our arrival, but that turned out to be no big deal at all. Great place to stay in Lionshead!

Amazing Location, Great Place!!

This property is a short walk from the lifts/gondola in Lionshead. It had everything we need for my family of four. We had an amazing week with easy convenience to skiing, shops, and restaurants. The property manager Taylor was always on top of every question. Highly recommend.

Wonderful location & accomadations!

We celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday in Vail and could not have picked a better location! So convenient to all our needs - market, restaurants, shops, rentals, and most importantly, the gondola! The 3rd floor walk up was not an issue as we were able to store our skis overnight at Christy’s (where we rented) right across the way towards the gondola, so carried our ski boots over in the a.m., geared up, grabbed our skis and were off! The condo was just as pictured, comfortable, lovely, and had everything we needed! Wonderful to come home to at the end of a day of skiing. The owners had great instructions and were very responsive to any questions we had. Looking forward to going back and staying here again - soon, I hope!

Excellent location and amenities

This property was an excellently decorated and well maintained condo with views of the gondola and mountain. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance- hiking, biking, spa, restaurants and music. There is also a free public bus to other parts of Vail which we utilized during our stay. The host was incredibly responsive to any and all correspondence via text and email. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property to friends and family.

Absolutely perfect!

This property is absolutely darling- no detail spared! Check in is so easy with an app for keys, parking is just up the stairs and it’s across from the Lionshead parking garage if you have additional vehicles. Perfect for a family or two couples. We were welcomed with a gorgeous bouquet on the counter along with some snacks. It is convenient to everything in Vail. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Incredible Location and Property

You can not beat the convenience of this location. The unit is exquisitely decorated and generously outfitted. The owners were attentive and had great communications, including wonderfully detailed directions for accessing the unit. We had a minor issue with the unit upon move-in which the owner corrected immediately and even sent flowers to apologize for the slight inconvenience. Great stay, highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore Vail
