1- We provide a swing set for our younger guests' enjoyment. To ensure their safety, we require adult supervision at all times. Please note that injuries are the responsibility of the supervising adult, not the establishment. The swing set is suitable for children aged 3 to 8 years, weighing no more than 100 pounds, to prevent damage to the equipment. Any damages to the swing set will incur a replacement fee. 2- Sweet Retreat is somewhat close to a train track, and while the sound is gentle enough not to disturb, it’s worth noting if absolute silence is crucial for your stay. Please keep this in mind when booking.

We stayed just prior to the worst snow/ice storm in KY. Place was great. It had everything we could need or want. Wish we could have stayed longer. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early to avoid highway shutdowns and the storm. Would definitely recommend and/or stay there again

House Layout Allows Breakout sessions
We sometimes need time away. The large suite allows for getaway. Our exhaustion might have played a part but neighbor train tracks weren't an issue. The other rooms are off separate mini hallways. As the adult you can hear what's going on but you don't have to be "present".Kitchen Slayed some awesome meals but also played a big part of game night refreshments.

A Creation & ARK Encounter
Wanted to visit the Creation Museum & The Ark with my Bible study Besties...4 ladies traveling from Georgia to Kentucky for 3 nights & 4 days. This house was smack dab in the middle of both. We were less than 20 minutes from the ARK and 35 minutes from Creation.. it was perfect location for us!!

Charming home
This house had a great layout and big comfortable beds. Fire pit and all the amenities were perfect! The only thing I’d suggest is more “family friendly” and comfortable living room furniture; it is beautiful but not the most comfortable for a group to stretch out and lounge. Maybe adding a slimline recliner would help and go with the decor.

The house is one of the nicest rentals I’ve stay in. It is very convenient to the Ark and the Creation Museum. Walton is a charming town. Be aware there are six steps into the house.

The property was just as expected. We did hear the train a little but I don’t think anyone was sleeping when it happened. It didn’t disturb us at all. My adult daughter and I gave my elderly parents the master bedroom and it worked perfect. It was comfortable and spacious. We do concur with another review that the living room is not the most comfortable for lounging. But if you’re close with everyone. Turning around the chaise in the master bedroom brings a very cozy environment to watch a movie together after long days on our feet. The location was pretty perfect between the Ark and Creation museum. It seemed to be under 30 minutes in both directions and much lighter commutes than we are used to. We definitely want to come back and will recommend this property to others we know.

Me, my daughter and my twin sister made the trip to visit the Creation Museum and The Ark. This house was halfway between, easy to get to, quiet neighborhood. The house was amazing, immaculate. Extremely nice furnishings and decorations. We had everything we needed. Hosts very easy to communicate with. We could not have picked a better place to stay!

This is the best VRBO we have ever experienced in dozens of homes. It is located perfectly between the Ark and the Creation Museum. David was super responsive to a minor issue. The Train noise was not laud enough to be a problem.

Exactly what we needed
This house though close to the tracks was just what we needed for our short stay to see the Ark and Creation Museum. My kids slept through the whistle and that’s all that mattered. We really enjoyed all the perfect touches that made it feel so homey especially the well stocked kitchen. This was by far the best vrbo kitchen I’ve ever seen!

Magnificent!!
The home is beautiful and perfect for our stay. Everything was so clean and had everything including laundry detergent!!! We will be staying here again for when we come back next year!!! If you are going to see the Ark Experience the drive was super easy!!!

Beautiful and clean home!
This home was beautiful and clean! There were so many extra touches and thoughtful additions. There were games to play (including cron hole for outside) and a few books to look at. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, utensils, appliances, coffee and tea accompaniments, spices, and extra touches. This is the best whole house we have stayed in yet (Vrbo and Airbnb combined). There were extra hot and cold fans in each bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean, inside and out. Wonderful stay! We would definitely recommend this home!

Our 6 night stay in this beautiful home was perfect. The property is in a very nice neighborhood. It’s extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The beds & bedding are extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with top of the line appliances and kitchen tools. This beautiful home is perfectly located for day trips all around the Cincinnati area and beyond, and it’s an easy 1hr drive to all the must see sites that Louisville & surrounding area has to offer, including the Kentucky Derby Museum/Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger Museum, Muhammad Ali Center, Jim Beam Distillery, and many other distilleries. If you’re planning a trip to the Cincinnati & Kentucky area I highly recommend this home as your base.

Perfect Stay for Christian Family vacation!
My Mom just turned 80 six months ago. She had a "bucket list" item of seeing "The Ark & the Creation Museum. This home had everything! Dishes, pots & pans, coffee maker, glasses, microwave, dishwasher, extra large refrigerator, bbq, linens & much more! It was easy freeway access and had a local Kroger grocery store and gas station within a mile. Neighborhood was quiet & peaceful. We invited my wife's parents to go with us & we were so glad we did! This is the perfect accommodation for 3 couples! We had a blast cooking meals together, eating outside together on the patio, playing cards on the dinning room table, sitting around the fire pit cooking S'mores! This property not only made great new memories but also allowed the blended family to share vacation stories from the past. What a delightful place to stay! 3 nights was not enough time to explore the surrounding area. I would suggest 5-7 day minimum.

This was a really cute property very convenient to the interstate. The amenities of the home were wonderful. The overall location took away one star because there is a train track close by and trains run all night as well.
