Our home is right on Wells beach. Wake up every morning with a 180 degree ocean view from your ocean facing deck and living room. This home is the ultimate in beach convenience. Wake up to sunrises over the ocean and enjoy family fun on the deck as you watch the sun set. Well stocked kitchen with all the utensils allows for eating in and the central location of this home allows for quick access to all the great local restaurants. Wells is getting more and more popular each summer. The number of homes that offer this degree of beach access and ocean views is shrinking every year as owners convert rental homes to private homes. Within our recently updated circa 1924 home, this 3 bedroom unit is adjoined by a 2 bedroom unit (VRBO #2279562) on the opposite side of the home. We had a wonderful time. Perfect beach house, step out to the sand and surf. Close to stores and restaurants. We didn't want to leave! But, we had to get back to the real world. Host was great!

The house was as advertised. Steps from the beach. The sunrises and moon rises were spectacular. There were four of us and plenty of room for us to not trip over each other. It was a wonderful weekend retreat.

Great place!
Every September, we've been staying at Wells Beach for over 10 years. We always stayed at one certain place but it was sold a few years ago so we have been staying at different places. This one is a charm! Roomy and come on! Right on the beach. It was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook meals there. The host was quick to respond to any questions. It was fairly clean but let's face it, with a beach place you will have sand. The places I care about such as bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms were all very clean.There is a nice grill, a private deck, and a common area to share with neighbors. we didn't use that area but it's nice. All in all we were very pleased and I believe this will be our go-to place to stay in lovely Wells! All the bedrooms are upstairs but there are pull-out couches if you have an issue with stairs.

Our see tay in Wells
Cozy little cottage, clean, no frills, right on the beautiful beach in the backyard and view of the sound in the front of the house. We were able to go for long walks and 12 km runs. Great getaway place!!!!

Great Week!
We rented both sides. Wife and I stayed on one side, Kids and grandkids on the other side. Best vacation in a long time. Great place to stay. Ocean right outside the front door. Clean and comfortable. Slept like a baby.

Beautiful Sunrise Location on the Ocean
Property was very nice, the view is the draw. If you have an aging person in your group, be aware there are a lot of steps up to the property by the street and then again, more up to bedrooms. Kitchen and rooms were spacious and we really enjoyed (and needed for noise deflection) the multiple electric fans in the house. As listing mentions, this is a shared property, separated by room door upstairs. We were paired with a family that had young children, one with special needs. No issues with the family but there were MANY slamming door (over 25 repeated slammings at a time) and screaming sessions that started to dampen our stay. We reached out to the host regarding the noise disturbances, which were so loud they sounded like they were in our living space. Instead of stepping forward and resolving when contacted, the host put it on us to decide if the other family should be contacted regarding the noise. Contact was made by the host and the noise disturbance did thankfully subside. The house is relatively clean but do NOT look under the beds (trash, dust, gum, etc). There was a washer and dryer issue (also shared) but the host responded and resolved quickly. We were traveling for 2 weeks, most people traveling for that period do not want to pack or buy towels and sheets for their stay. Many locations provide these items (our Maine rental location before this one did) and if I was to recommend a change, it would be too provide at no extra charge. Contract for this location is drawn up like a major extended legal document which is a turn-off to most honest people. Assumption is that the host had some issues in the past and the extra, lengthy documents are required. Overall, we mostly enjoyed our stay at this location. Host was excellent at responding to concerns/communication.

Stunning view!
Everything was wonderful. It was a relaxing weekend away. Pictures are very accurate. The only thing that would have made it even better would have been a fire pit (not there is a lot of room for one) and a big lobster pot. 4 adults and 2 kids fit comfortably. All in all it was wonderful! We will definitely stay again!

Celebrating our 50th anniversary.
We love Wells beach but were a bit disappointed that so many people, including several very young children were in the adjoining part of the house. We love children, but the loud “kid noises” were rather obnoxious especially late at night and very early mornings. We never used the laundry facilities or the water toys. We would hope to have “ neighbors” who follow the rules next time.

My 4 friends and I spent an amazing 4 days in this oceanside, Vrbo rental. The weather was perfect, as was the location. We spent most of our time simply visiting on the deck, enjoying the ocean sights and sounds. It's not a fancy rental, but it is homey. I highly recommend it.

Great summer getaway!
Our family of five loved spending a week right on the ocean. The property is as advertised. When we weren’t on the beach, we enjoyed opening up the large sliding glass door (with screen) that leads out to the deck and letting the ocean breeze blow through the living room area. The property is walkable to Wells Beach shops and a few restaurants. A great summer vacation spot!

Perfect location
We enjoyed our stay in Wells Beach. There is so much within proximity of the house that makes the location perfect. It's a short drive into both Kennebunkport and Ogunquit but there is a lot to do right there in Wells as well. The beach access from the house is perfect and really great for young kids.

My family of 4 and I enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable and accommodating. It was nice going to sleep and waking up to the beach sounds every day. Everything we enjoyed was walking distance, and very accessible, especially a local family-friendly restaurant, Forbes walking distance five minutes away. We would definitely come back and recommend this property to our family and friends.

Incredible property
Absolutely beautiful property with incredible views of the ocean. We celebrated my husbands birthday with our family and there could not have been a better place to relax and enjoy family time. The home was exactly as described. Extremely well cared for by owner. Short walk to town square to find shopping and food. Plenty of room for four adults and a toddler! Plenty to do but we chose to enjoy the incredible serenity of the waves from the large porch. Already looking to book for next year.

Great cottage vibe and pristine location
We had a great long weekend at 131 Atlantic Ave in the South cottage. The space was so warm and welcoming. The original features preserved in this 100 year old beach house added to the experience. Upgrades and renovations have occurred as needed in a way that preserved the character and feel of the home. I look forward to returning again in the future!
