The Willow: Cozy, Sleeps 6, Fenced-In Yard, Ample Parking, Walk to the Beach!

The Willow House got its name from the 300 year old weeping Willow tree that drapes over the backyard. The house is an 1850 spacious 6 room, 2 bedroom, Cape Cod style home. Sleeps 6 comfortably with an additional pull-out couch in the den. The house is centrally located in Southern Maine in Wells/Moody Beach, at the Ogunquit-Wells line. The Ogunquit and Wells Trolley stops are two doors from the house and will take you to fine and casual dining, Perkins Cove, Ogunquit Village, Ogunquit Beach, Footbridge Beach, Wells Beach, Miniature golf, go karts, and ice cream shops all around town, starting with Spinnakers conveniently located just steps away!

Build your family’s memories here at the beach with a private fenced-in backyard, parking for up to 5 cars, and close proximity to all of the fan favorites.

The Willow House is walking distance to Moody Beach (10 minute walk, less than a mile!), Footbridge and Ogunquit Beach: a scenic 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive. There are 5 restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

The Willow has a large eat-in kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee makers (K-cup and traditional), all of the dishes, pots, cups, silverware you’ll need across ample counter and cabinet space for your goodies.

There is a living/dining room with a large flat screen TV and comfortable furniture, a den with a TV and a pull-out sofa (great for kids), a full bathroom on the first floor, and a screened in all-season porch with wicker furniture to enjoy in both sunny/rainy weather!

There are 2 bedrooms upstairs: a bedroom with a king sized bed and another containing 2 twin sized beds. Both rooms have dressers. (The Den makes a “third” sleeping space).

Central air conditioning keeps things cool and comfortable in the summer for you and your family.

The Willow is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between renters and we accommodate contactless check-in’s!

Nice fenced yard and close to beaches
My husband and I along with our two pups stayed for 5 nights at the Willow and overall we had a good stay. We enjoyed the proximity to nearby beaches and easy access to Route 1 for all Southern Maine has to offer. It was just a few minute drive to both Footbridge Beach in Ogunquit as well as the Wells beaches. (Not really walkable!) The fenced yard was perfect if you are traveling with dogs! They had freedom to run and get out some energy which was perfect for them. We were, however, surprised to find the house was not very clean when we arrived, and we had to wipe down all surfaces including in the bathroom. And while the proximity to Route 1 is convenient, the house is just a few yards from the busy road and when larger vehicles passed by, the entire house shook and the noise was significant even through the night. We travel to Maine at least once a year and felt we didn't quite experience the peacefulness we are used to. Overall for the price we paid we expected a bit more, but if you are looking for convenience, this has it!

Breezy, spacious and great hosts!
What a great space! There was plenty of room to spend time together or apart and the decor is charming. The fenced in yard was a huge plus for our stay with the family dog. We faced some issues with the a/c and management was super responsive. Portable units were delivered right away to keep us comfortable and the next day the issue was fixed. Communication was constant and clear. Great service! The house is right on Post road so there is some traffic noise but it was not tood bad and calmed in the evening. It is a short drive to so many points of interest and many even walkable. Great location, great space.

This property is the perfect location for just about everything! Just a short drive to wells beach, York animal kingdom, amazing restaurants and more! The house was extremely clean, and has a beautiful yard to relax in. Definitely recommend to families looking for a peaceful and fun vacation!

House is roomy and very well equipped for a family vacation. AC kept us cool, plenty of parking, fenced in backyard for our dog Sophie and a quick drive to Ogunquit beach and restaurants. Nice to have the option to head into Wells without having to deal with traffic in Ogunquit center. Thank you!

The only things I could say about the home that could use improvement were that the upstairs tv didn’t work/was missing a power cord and that there was no soap provided for the bath. Everything else was wonderful. Would totally come back (and bring soap):)

Charming Cottage
The cottage was charming, very clean, beautifully decorated and fully equipped, but when we first pulled in, we were a bit disappointed at how close to the road and an intersection it was located. The photos on VRBO led us to believe the front of this property was set back farther from the road than actual. However, it was so convenient to the beach, restaurants, grocery stores and shops. We also appreciated that it was dog/family friendly and so clean and fully equipped. Overall, our experience was wonderful and we had everything we needed to make our vacation enjoyable and memorable!

Nice clean home
Lovely home with well stocked kitchen for cooking (but no large frying pan!). Comfy furniture and beds. Clean and spacious with great backyard for lounging, eating outside, and playing games. It was located directly on busy main road with longer hike to the beach than we anticipated (just under a mile along road with no sidewalks). That was our only drawback. Otherwise had a nice stay. Plenty of delicious restaurants very close also.

Amazing pet friendly house in Ogunquit
Everything about this house was as described, it was spacious, had a large, fully stocked kitchen, a huge back yard, easy parking, a nice living room with a big TV (for late night movies). The four of us spent most of our time in the large screened in porch, which is perfect for cocktail hour and playing cards. It is an easy walk from the house straight down to a great public beach, and there are many more awesome beaches in the area. It is on the north side of town makes it easy to get up to Kennebunkport for Whale Watching and Portland, but makes it a 35 min walk into the center of Ogunquit. We had hoped to take the Ogunquit trolley service into town as their website says service is every 15 mins. It is not. We (and others we met) waited far longer. We switched to driving into town for dinner and always found parking. A great house in a great town with great food. If you have a dog - the huge, fully fenced back yard is a massive bonus.

This was a spacious house that answered our needs for my family and our golden doodle. We stayed here so I could rest after having a medical intervention. Having the option to cancel up to 14 days in advance was very important to us, fortunately we didn’t have to!

We had a fantastic stay at the “Willow”! The house was tidy and had everything needed for our long weekend away. The yard was sizable, private, and entirely fenced in, which our two dogs loved! Our host and property manager were easy to communicate with and allowed us an early check-in. We definitely plan to come back!

Nice house, great location
My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this quirky old beach house. It is nicely furnished and well-equipped. We like to cook in much of the time and the house came with everything we needed - not always the case with rentals. It is an easy and interesting walk over part of the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge to a gorgeous beach. We often paused on the bridge to watch fish and birds in the tidal marsh. The large, fenced in back yard was great for our dog, and we enjoyed the patio for our morning coffee. Iinitially, I was a little concerned about noise from the nearby busy street, but it wasn't a problem at all. And it is nice being short walks to a good Thai restaurant and an ice cream place. We had a great visit and look forward to coming back.

The Willow is tastefully decorated with many nice personal touches throughout.
The large backyard is a plus. The noise from the main road made sleeping difficult for some. Suggestions - replace the frying pans because none of them can be used, supply a cookie sheet or pizza pan for the oven and install a fan in the bathroom. Revise the description so sheets and towels are not listed as included. Property manager was responsive and well organized. The Willow is a beautiful home and we enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this rental to others.

Love the house!
If you love the character of old houses, this is your place! We loved the house - very roomy and homey. The backyard was big and completely fenced in and our little dogs loved it! The big weeping willow was beautiful. It is right on the main road and a bit noisy when sitting on the screen porch, but when inside the house it didnt bother us. Lauren, the property manager, was very responsive and extremely easy to deal with.

Nice location cute house!
Great location just outside of oguinquit and so close to so much including the beach. I might suggest a larger ac for upstairs it was a super hot week so at times the ac had to work super hard. Kitchen had everything you would need and the decor in the house was very cute! Also it was very very clean and we greatly appreciated that. The pics show exactly what you get. We would definitely go back and can recommend to others!!

Dans l’ensemble nous avons aimé la maison et grand terrain. On a beaucoup apprécié la grandeur de la maison. Il manque une salle d’eau au 2e étage ou un autre salle de bain.
