Welcome to our peaceful and spacious cottage on the beautiful Magnetawan River! With stunning sunset views and a western exposure, our cottage is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Enjoy our large deck, dock, and campfire pit overlooking 125' of waterfront.

This waterside property which provides big-lake-feel views is designed to show its guests the true meaning of a scenic vacation getaway. It consists of the spacious cottage and a stunning outdoors where you can soak up the sun and catch a breath of fresh air in complete privacy. Healthy natural light bursts through large windows, accenting the tastefully picked furniture and wooden touches while enhancing the soothing ambiance.

Four comfortable bedrooms provide all the relaxation needed after an unforgettable day at on the water, sightseeing in Whitestone, or exploring Parry Sound!

Nestled on an acre of land with direct access to the Magnetawan River, our 4-season cottage offers a gradual sloping grassy walkway or steps leading down to the dock, where you can enjoy fishing, swimming or simply soaking up the sun. Our private natural waterfront area provides the perfect spot to wade in with water shoes or dive off the dock into the river's deep waters. With 2 canoes and 3 kayaks available for use from May - October, you can explore the scenic waterways at your leisure where bass, pickerel, pike, and perch can be caught. In the winter, indulge in ice-fishing or snowshoeing along the many trails in the area. Whatever the season, our cottage offers the perfect setting for your next getaway.

Our cottage is located on Maple Island with road access year-round. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. There are some other cottages and locals on the island, but once you are on the property you will feel very secluded.

The Maple Island Commons area is close to the cottage with:

The Whitestone Lake trail is a 2.9 km trail that is close by which is great for hiking, birding, and cross-country skiing, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. From this trail you can also access a series of scenic snowmobile trails.

You will have to drive to get to any desired destination. The cottage is a 2 1/2 hour drive from Toronto (but well worth it!). Then we are within a half hour drive to nearby attractions and amenities.

★ DRINKING WATER ★
The running water is pumped up from the river and filtered, but it is not potable. We supply a water cooler in the kitchen and principal bedroom ensuite bathroom for your drinking or cooking needs.

★ SEPTIC SYSTEM ★
The house plumbing works on a septic system. Only the 1-ply toilet paper we provide is to be put down the toilets. Please follow the Cottage Creed "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down". Also, please do not pour any type of oils/grease down the drains that could clog the system.

★ HEATING ★
The main cottage areas are heated by a propane furnace and the principal bedroom is heated by electrical heat baseboards. For the summer, we do not have air conditioning, but there are fans throughout the cottage and there is also usually a good breeze that comes off of the water.

★ PARKING ★
There is plenty of space for parking during the summer. Please park in the designated parking area after unloading your belongings. Additional parking is available at the top of the driveway. During the winter months, we currently only have space at the top of the driveway for 3 full-sized cars/SUVs.

★ GARBAGE ★
We hope that you will be mindful of your waste during your stay as there is a reasonable limit to the amount we can handle. As part of your cleaning fee we are able to dispose of up to 3 full size bags of garbage/recycling in total. Garbage/recycling dump rules that are posted must be followed to avoid any additional charges.
- 8 guests maximum. No additional guests not on the reservation are allowed on the property.

Peaceful Getaway
Where to start? The hosts are amazing. They have thought of everything, for when you haven't. The cottage is lovely. Plenty of space and amenities. The property is awesome. It has such a secluded feel. Views are wonderful both day and night with unreal star gazing. Fishing was excellent right off the dock. The nearby communities are fun to visit and explore. A very enjoyable cottage destination.

Communication with host was fast. The cottage was very clean, and the kitchen nicely equipped. It was nice to have the use of the canoes/kayaks. Lots of seating area by the fireplace with a nice view of the water. We enjoyed our stay here.
