The property is not suitable for large groups or parties. Just a 5-minute drive away is the iconic Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can find fantastic shopping and a thriving café and bar culture for you to enjoy.

The well-appointed kitchen and spacious dining area provide ample space for up to 6 guests to gather and enjoy delicious meals together. In the lounge area, you'll find a feature fireplace and a large Smart TV, perfect for cozy nights in and movie marathons.

Guest Access:
At Woodlands Family Retreat, guests have exclusive access to the entire house, including the garage, where you'll find the delightful hot tub. The spacious driveway can accommodate up to three vehicles, providing convenient parking options for your group.
Please note that while the gate at the end of the drive can be closed, we want to ensure the safety of your pets. Due to the design of the gate and garden, we do not advertise the outside area as secure for unsupervised pets. We kindly request that furry friends are supervised at all times and not left unattended.
Our garden is meticulously maintained and depending on the weather, we typically tend to the garden on Wednesdays or Thursdays twice a month. However, rest assured that if necessary, we may attend to the garden on other days as well, ensuring its beauty is maintained throughout your stay. Guests are welcome to fully access the lawn and patio area outside, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the peaceful surroundings.
When booking your stay at Woodlands, you can be confident that you won't have to share access or space with other guests. The entire property is reserved exclusively for you.

Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop is at the end of the road at the Windermere Library. Busses that stop at this particular stop travel on the routes 6, 555, 597, 599 and 755 – the most up-to-date routes can be found on the Stage Coach website. The main bus hub for Windermere and the surrounding area is the Windermere Train Station.
Windermere Train Station is the nearest Train Station and is a short 5-minute walk from the house. Lake Windermere is a short 5-to-10-minute drive away in Bowness-on-Windermere.
Other Things to Note:
Please be aware that the barrel sauna is legally only allowed for 16+ years of age, and the sauna should not be used after 10:30PM.
Our garden is typically tended to on Wednesdays or Thursdays twice a month. However, please note that this schedule is subject to weather conditions and other external factors.

Late check out is available for a cost of £20, which is to be left in an honesty box found at the property.
