Good location with property shortcomings
This property has good access to the slopes being only a minute from a button lift and you can ski back at the end of the day. The underground parking was good as was the size of the apartment for 6 people.
There were however a number of issues, I believe the property details on the HomeAway website are misleading in the following areas.
It was stated that there was internet at the property, it was impossible to access this. I sent 3 emails from my phone to the owner and eventually asked the managing agent to call him, but no response was forthcoming. The managing agent had no details about anything to do with the apartment. We would not have booked this property if we had not believed we would have internet access as adults in the group needed to work in the evenings and either had to go to a bar or the reception area of the managing agent. The only option so that we could all spend the evenings together was to connect via mobile phones leaving everyone with large phone bills for the week.
The property is indeed in a small co-ownership of 10 apartments, but the swimming pool and gym shown are not just for those apartments they are shared between several different sets of apartments and are accessed from another building, the pool was packed in the afternoons and the pool was cold.
HomeAway states that check in time is 5pm. We were unable to access the apartment until 7.15 pm when we finally received a call from the agent, having already paid several visits to their reception since 5pm. When we entered the apartment it was clear that 2 bathrooms had not been cleaned properly, the bins had not been emptied and there was hair and shavings in the wash basin. We had to return to the agent who then sent 2 people to complete the cleaning properly.
This property was billed as a luxury apartment and given that no one wears shoes in the apartment I was surprised that the bedroom carpets were so dirty.
In addition to the above we also reported that the filter in the hood over the hob was missing, this therefore didn’t function as it should have in removing moisture and cooking smells. We were told it would be fixed the following day but nothing happened while we were there. There were also light bulbs not working and the fans in the 2 internal toilets only seemed to work/come on at odd times during the night.
The dirty bed linen and towels from the previous week were left outside all week.
No information on any of the appliances.
