Decent accommodations, room has some small challenges but for the price and proximity to the beach it was worth it. Enjoyed our stay and will likely return to Destin again.

Property was convenient. However, property is in need of a deep cleaning in all areas. (e.g. bedroom carpets, bathrooms, and couches) They have a roach problem. Furniture needs to replaced in the living room and beds. The brief time we spent in the room TV's did not work. Property management was prompt when we reached out for bug issue but at the point we were disappointed over the entire stay.

The location was group easy to get to and from places the beach was very nice, the condo was ok not worth the price we paid beds in guest room were loose and about to break, couldn’t use guest bathroom due to door knob not being connected to door, furniture had stains on them, master bedroom light or fan didn’t work called and reported all this first day there they told us someone would come out and fix it and they never showed also was given two wrist bands to get in and out of gate to beach and room only one worked, if having to book again will be going with a beach house.

Needs Attention But Great Location and Complex

Location of this condo and building it’s located in is super nice and a quick walk to the beach or the pool However this property when we checked in had issues We couldn’t sleep on the master bedroom bed as it was broken by previous tenants - 2nd night we suffered through it after notifying management - they sent a handy man to look and address the lights in bedroom not working - no response after on the beds so we were left confused and felt like WE were being the inconvenience by reporting issues The beds In the second bedroom are both loose on their frames and wobbled and we were weary of them breaking - in short we basically paid for the location and to sleep on the couch in this unit

Family vacation

We really enjoyed staying at this property for our first trip to Destin. The location was nice and convenient. The laundry room and trash chute were just steps away from the room. The pool area was clean and there was only a 3-4 min walk to the beach. The area was also very quite. We would for sure stay here again on our next visit to Destin.

Terrible looks nothing like photos

The property was not cleaned there was blood on the sheets stains all over the furniture and carpet with holes in the wall and ripped ottoman pictures “new” in the pictures. It took 3 days to speak with owner of unit which resolved absolutely nothing.

Great property!

Our family enjoyed the option of pool or beach. The beaches were clean and the lifeguards were great! The pools and hot tubs were very clean - though the hot tubs were FIRE, like human boiling hot. :) The unit was clean and perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen is updated however some of the furniture is very "broken in" and could use replacing but we spent our vacation outdoors so it was fine. The complex is a short drive into town, grocery and many fantastic restaurants.

Great place! VRBO issues

The location and facilities were as advertised. Some issues apparently when making a reservation through a third party during the time we made our reservation which led to not receiving the check in instructions until after we arrived. The keys were not located in the box per the instructions but eventually got it figured out. Other then that snafu we had a great time and would stay here again.

The Islander

Very happy with the property and also with the area. Three minutes to the beach (condo key opens the beach gate). The Islander is a nice condo complex, well-kept, pools in good condition etc. The beach area is excellent, and there are chairs/umbrellas set up. Our unit had a full kitchen and all the dishes/pans etc. Two bedrooms with two twin beds in the 2nd, perfect for our teenagers. Check/in was quick and easy at the management office which is 10 minutes from the property. Very satisfied, had a great time here.

It was okay, not the best but not horrible.

Our stay was just okay. For how much we paid, it was expected to be a bit nicer in a bit nicer of an area. Our rental said that it included beach chairs and when we got down to the beach we were informed we did not have chair access which was a big reason we booked with this rental so we were pretty disappointed to even start the day. I don’t think we’ll be booking this spot for our next trip.

Family vacation

Overall your experience and stay here was great! I would point out the twin sized mattresses were a little softer than our liking. This probably due to the frequency of visitors coming here and the sofa sank in when we sat on it. Those are updates that can be made over time and really didn’t take away from the experience enough for significant complaining. It was great to house for our family and my in laws. The closeness to the beach was very ideal having an infant with us so he didn’t have to walk far to reach the sand. When we return to Destin we would consider staying here again.

nice property but BIG mix-up on our room that delayed our check in for hours.

Nice property but our check in through RealJoy properties was a nightmare. After getting up at 4:00 AM to get to the airport and multiple attempts to return calls to RealJoy, when we got to Florida we were told that our 4:00 check in would be delayed to 7:00-8:00. When the room was ready the key card we had to pick up from the RealJoy property didn't work. Another 45 minute delay to get into our room. The property smelled like an ashtray and the carpeted bedroom floors were just gross. They tried to make up for this but it was a horrible start to our vacation. We made the best of it though and overall had a good trip. I will say that the weather was great and the hurricane doors did drown out all the noise from the pool.
